I watch TV via the app on the AppleTV box (4th gen.). Until now, the AppleTV box was connected directly to the TV. Switching on/off the TV and the AppleTV box worked automatically with the AppleTV remote control. Now I have the Marantz1607 between the AppleTV box and the TV. With the AppleTV remote control, the receiver can now be switched on/off with the AppleTV box. But the TV is neither switched on nor off. Does anyone have a tip?

Can an active soundbar, for example, be connected to the PreAmp front connections? Unfortunately, the connections are not mentioned anywhere in the manual. They are not fake, are they?

The outputs are primarily intended for ZONE 2 control. This means that a second amplifier with connected speakers can be controlled. As I can see from the manual, only 2.1-channel sound is possible via these connections (pre-out). In my opinion, a soundbar should not be connected to a V-receiver designed for 5.1/5.2 or 7.1/7.2A. Here, one should treat oneself to a sensible loudspeaker combination.
