Can you get more than 60hz out of it?

I have an asus prime b350-plus motherboard with DVI-D on my PC. Now I bought this adapter and connected it to my monitor (HP 24w) and it doesn't show me a picture. I have an extensive setup (besides 2 monitors) but I have reduced that to a minimum and it still doesn't work. DVI motherboard to DVI (old) monitor works fine. Is the adapter broken?

Could it be that you are using the wrong adapter? I have a LINK2GO HDMI DVI-D converter (item 5741426). It converts the HDMI output signal of my PC so that I can connect a DVI monitor.

Does the adapter also transmit audio?

My monitor has DVI and DP. My graphics card only has HDMI. Can I connect this adapter to my monitor via DVI and then connect it to my graphics card with an HDMI cable?

I used it to connect my notebook to the monitor. Picture quality was impeccable. I assume that all devices with HDMi standard behave similarly.
