Yep, 2.5 inch slot is available and docking station is only possible via USB 3.0, the laptop unfortunately does not have a "dedicated" docking station port like some business laptops.

Hello :-) since January, all computers have received updates to counter security failures, Intel processors among others. This has the effect of slowing them down. So they are never in the maximum operating zone and are cooled efficiently and silently. This is the price of security... so there is no noise from the fans.

Hello, I confirm that this E570 model is black, but that the plate that supports the keyboard/TouchPad is silver. I didn't ask myself if there were other models that were completely black? That's what I can say about it.

That is exactly what I have done. The system still runs on the 256GB SSD, plus I have 1000GB for the data. However, due to a bug in Windows, I could not switch the libraries to the larger SSD. Windows Explorer got stuck when I right-clicked and had to be shut down each time. Performance is top on both SSDs, I am very satisfied with the system.
