The technical data says that this cable is DisplayPort 1.2. My graphics card and display are designed for DisplayPort 1.4. Does this cable affect the speed, or can it bring the full performance of DP 1.4 through? (It's also possible that I'm misunderstanding the specifications and cables completely and that DP 1.2 is not a benchmark at all).

DP 1.2 can up to 4K@60Hz. DP 1.4 can go up to 4K@120Hz.
If you use poor quality cables, interference can occur. The graphics card cannot know how good the quality of the cable is.

Can all Displayport connections be connected with this cable? e.g. 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 etc.?
