How can I give the extended network a new name? I don't want it to be called exactly the same as my router. I click the box in the setting and later I don't get the option to choose a new name.

Repeaters simply work by receiving data blocks and sending them again. In order for a new WLAN SSID name to become available, the device must have a little more technology, the WLAN client mode and a WLAN AP are necessary.

Is it possible to set the security for the extended network to WPA2-PSK (and really *only WPA2-PSK* and not, for example, "WPA/WPA2" or something)? (I find that many repeaters are unfortunately very poorly set up in this respect and compromise the whole system with their weak security...)

According to our information from the manufacturer, this is unfortunately not possible, only WPA/WPA2 is feasible.

I want to ask about a problem. i have activated red from upc with 2.4 and 5ghz. this repeater in repeater mod finds both networks but i can't select 5ghz because then the saving runs without end. if i select only 2.4 ghz network, the repeater config saving takes a few seconds. is it known or device faulty? thanks

Try resetting the repeater to factory settings. To do this, press the WPS button on the front for >10 seconds. Then you have to follow the installation wizard again. Since the 5 Ghz network does not radiate far, it is important that you configure the repeater close to the router.
