If I use this filter, the EW-78D lens hood will still fit on it. I need it for an EFS 18-200 lens, will it fit?

If I understand correctly, the filter is not compatible because it is a 77mm and for the objective lens in the set you would need a 67mm filter (filter thread is important). The loss of light due to the filter is so small that you can safely neglect it.
