Is it possible to expand an existing wireless network with this device? In other words, connect the device to an existing network via wireless and then connect other devices via LAN or W-LAN?

Yes, it is possible (as you can tell from the name "REPEATER"). But I do not recommend it!

Can I use this repeater as an oldschool access point with a LAN connection? I have zero Wi-Fi on the terrace, but an Ethernet connection and would like to connect this repeater to the LAN there.

Hello. If I now place the Asus RP-AC68U in my 3rd floor house right at the top, will it be able to receive wifi via the socket, because I had another one but it was weak and it received the internet via the socket. In short: Does the Asus RP-AC68U receive wifi via the socket, or wirelessly, or something else? Please explain. Thank you.

Sorry, I had it once, but I replaced all my devices with Fritz Boxes and accessories. I am not very convinced of Asus WLAN.
