I have had an Apple Watch Series 3, 4G since December 2017 and have been completely satisfied with it until now. Until now, one charge lasted about two days. However, for a few days now, it's already stopped after about 8 hours. Today I wanted to see if a software update was available. Unfortunately, the update always reports that the connection to the Apple Watch is not possible, even though all the settings are correct. does anyone have a tip?

Helpful answer

Now I have restarted the iPhone and the Apple Watch and the connection works again. It is interesting that the battery consumption is now also normal again, i.e. as before. I conclude from this that the watch previously always tried unsuccessfully to establish the connection and that this led to the increased consumption.
So the problem is solved.
