I can confirm this about the shifted image section at 10x zoom. What is displayed in the viewfinder is not congruent with the shot photo. I assume that this error can be corrected with an upcoming iOS update when Apple learns about it.

Well it depends on what your budget is. I wouldn't actually cheap out on a glass cover. But Panzerglass is usually my way to go :)
