Edition 08/2016 - Popcornhour bringt mit dem A500 einen tollen Mediaplayer auf den Markt. Es handelt sich hier um ein durchweg edles Design, wobei der Netzwerkplayer wirklich ausgereift wird. HDR und 650p unterstützt er zwar nicht, HDR kann er jedoch zumindest in einer sehr guten Qualität herunterrechnen. Auch die sonstigen Video-Formate sind sehr vielseitig, ebenso wie der sehr gute Audioteil. Hinzu kommt eine perfekte Fotoshow.

Fast optimal, wenn die Sache mit der HDMI-Version nicht da wäre

In der Tat, einer der besten Player, wenn nicht sogar der Beste. Zwar mit weniger Funktionen als die Android-Konkurrenz, die Hardware dafür aber sehr hochwertig verarbeitet, mit besten Komponenten bestückt und Software ausgereift. Wer nur Inhalte geniessen und nicht spielen möchte, hat alles, was er/sie braucht. Der einzige Nachteil: nur HDMI 1.4. D.h., im 4k-Modus erreicht man höchstens 30 fps und das Video ruckelt. Wer einen 4k Fernseher mit HDMI 2.0 und entsprechendes Filmmaterial hat, muss sich woanders umsehen, oder auf den Nachfolger warten. Auf der Hersteller-Webseite steht dieses Produkt nämlich unter «End of Life» - und ich vermute, dass an einem Nachfolger gearbeitet wird.more
