With the DMP-UB704, Panasonic extends its 4K home cinema portfolio with another Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Just like the award-winning UB900, the UB704, unveiled for the first time at the IFA 2016, features Panasonic's exclusive 4K High-Precision Chroma Processor. The UB704, like its big brother 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Blu-ray, supports Blu-ray playback with technologies such as HDR (High Dynamic Range) and the extended color spectrum BT. 2020.4K Direct Chroma Upscaling also allows conventional Blu-ray Discs and DVDs to be processed and displayed in the best possible image quality thanks to 4K Direct Chroma Upscaling. It goes without saying that the UB704 has an integrated WLAN, offers numerous Internet apps and supports 4K video-on-demand streaming services.
The UB704 meets the extremely high demands of image processing defined by the UHD Alliance and thus carries the coveted Ultra HD Premium seal of approval. The new player is based on the same image processing technologies as the top-of-the-range model UB900 and can therefore also claim the outstanding ratings of numerous trade journals. The UB704 also meets high demands in terms of sound quality. In addition to the conventional audio formats WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC and WMA, music files of the formats DSD (5.6 MHz/2.8 MHz) and ALAC can also be processed.
