Extremely bright Leica DG Nocticron f/1.2
For this lens, with a remarkably high luminous intensity of F1.2, LEICA Camera AG has redefined the name "NOCTICRON". The classic medium telephoto focal length of 42.5mm (corresponds to 85mm for 35mm cameras) is ideally suited for portrait photography. The large aperture allows a targeted handling of the small depth of field.
The 9 lamellas create a round aperture that provides a particularly beautiful bokeh in the blurred image areas.
Very precise and ultra fast autofocus
A newly developed stepper motor focuses softly and quietly when shooting photos and videos. The AF system is superior to the classic phase difference AF systems, especially for large apertures with low depth of field.
In conjunction with LUMIX G cameras, you can fully exploit the high-precision, ultra-fast contrast AF system.
Aperture ring & metal tube
The aperture ring on the metal tube allows direct, intuitive control of the aperture setting. The beautifully designed lens is made of a metal tube with a metal mount and deserves to be called "Leica".
The robust metal mount also withstands the frequent change of the lens.
The Panasonic Nano coating technology minimizes reflections in the entire visible light range of 380-780 nm through a coating layer with a nano-structure on the lens surface.
This makes high-contrast images with far fewer phantom images and light reflections possible.
At a shallow depth of field, which is typical for lenses with a large aperture, a slight shaking of the hand is enough to get a blurred background. The POWER O. I. S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) in the lens compensates for not only small, fast but also long, slow movements.
This makes sharp, clear images possible even in situations with little light, e. g. at night or indoors.…more
