Description

Fast and powerful:
Unmatched fast continuous shooting: Take significantly better continuous shooting than with SLR cameras. The E-M1 Mark II offers unrivalled performance in AF/AE tracking mode at full resolution of 20.4 megapixels. Thanks to parallel image processing, even fast-moving subjects are displayed with pin sharpness at up to 60 frames per second.

Continuous autofocus:
Continuous autofocus (C-AF) allows you to shoot without interruption and with great ease. The AF/AE tracking function tracks the subject for you, giving you up to 18 frames per second when you choose to shoot. All images are taken in RAW format at full resolution.

Single autofocus:
Select when to use single-focus (S-AF) continuous shooting. While the AF/AE lock is active, the E-M1 Mark II records up to 60 frames per second while you follow a fast-moving subject with the electronic viewfinder. All images are taken in RAW format at full resolution.

Per capture:
Each capture starts when you press the shutter release button halfway and runs with a buffer that can be set to 14 frames in full resolution. When the shutter-release button is pressed fully, uninterrupted recording begins. With up to 14 previous images available, you can shoot at just the right moment without delay.

Precision and functionality:
The E-M1 Mark II's high-speed autofocus system enables precise recordings of events that take place within fractions of a second. Thanks to numerous advanced functions, you always have your motif clearly in view.

121 cross sensor type focus points:
The more the better - this applies in particular to the reliable determination of data. Therefore, the E-M1 Mark II's on-chip phase recognition autofocus operates with no less than 121 cross-sensor type focus points.

OM-D 4K video recording:
Compatible with 4K (3840 x 2160) and C4K (4096 x 2160), the E-M1 Mark II is also ideal for authentic film productions. An option for a 30P or 24P frame rate and a maximum bit rate of 237 Mbps allows you to record in the digital cinema standard for 4K.

5-Axis Image Stabilization:
Designed exclusively for the E-M1 Mark II, the image stabilization mechanism compensates up to 6.5 EV steps to reliably compensate for camera shake. This revolutionary image stabilisation system is now the perfect complement to the video functions of the E-M1 Mark II, enabling easy hands-free shooting even in low light conditions and even hands-free video.

20.4M Live MOS sensor:
This new high-speed sensor with low power consumption and optimized pixel structure enables particularly high image quality even when shooting with high sensitivity. The new AR coating prevents ghost effects and reflections on the sensor side. For an even higher resolution, high-resolution 50M images are available: Eight images are combined to form a high-resolution image with a resolution of 50 million pixels.

Image sensor type

An image sensor is a device that converts an optical image to an electric signal. It is used mostly in digital cameras and other imaging devices. An image sensor is typically a charge-coupled device (CCD) or a complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) active-pixel sensor.

CMOS

Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) is a term for semiconductor devices that use both p-channel and n-channel MOSFETs on a common substrate. CMOS technology refers to both the semiconductor process used to realize integrated digital and analog circuits and a logic family. CMOS technology is the most widely used logic family today and is mainly used for integrated circuits.

ISO light sensitivity (auto)
i

ISO light sensitivity (auto)

The American Standards Association (ASA) and the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) film speed standards have been combined into the ISO standards. The current International Standard for measuring the speed of color negative film is ISO 5800:1987 from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Related standards ISO 6:1993 and ISO 2240:2003 define scales for speeds of black-and-white negative film and color reversal film. This system defines both an arithmetic and a logarithmic scale, combining the previously separate ASA and DIN systems.
Commonly, the logarithmic speed is omitted; for example, "ISO 100" denotes ISO 100/21°.

ISO light sensitivity (manual)
i

ISO light sensitivity (manual)

The ISO 5800 standard defines the light sensitivity of film material.
For both scales: the higher the number, the more light-sensitive the film. For linear ASA scaling, a double value corresponds to twice the sensitivity. In the logarithmic DIN scale, an increase of 3° corresponds to a doubling.
In photography, doubling the light sensitivity of the film material means that under given lighting conditions the exposure time can be halved to avoid camera shake or the lens can be closed one f-stop further to achieve a greater depth of field.

Lens mount
i

Lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.

i

Maximum aperture

Aperture is a (normally mechanical) device on cameras which can be used to change the light transmission through the optical system (lens). It is usually designed as a lamella screen (also known as an iris screen), in which circularly arranged lamella sheets shift into one another in such a way that the light transmission becomes narrower or wider and thus the incident light beam becomes smaller or larger. The iris is positioned in the beam path in such a way that it only acts as an aperture iris diaphragm and not as a field of view diaphragm.

Image file formats

Image file formats are standardized means of organizing and storing digital images. Image files are composed of either pixel or vector (geometric) data that are rasterized to pixels when displayed (with few exceptions) in a vector graphic display. The pixels that constitute an image are ordered as a grid (columns and rows); each pixel consists of numbers representing magnitudes of brightness and color.

JPEG

In computing, JPEG is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography (image). The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.

JPEG compression is used in a number of image file formats. JPEG/Exif is the most common image format used by digital cameras and other photographic image capture devices; along with JPEG/JFIF, it is the most common format for storing and transmitting photographic images on the World Wide Web. These format variations are often not distinguished, and are simply called JPEG.

Battery-operated

A rechargeable battery or storage battery is a group of one or more electrochemical cells. They are known as secondary cells because their electrochemical reactions are electrically reversible. Rechargeable batteries come in many different shapes and sizes, ranging anything from a button cell to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Several different combinations of chemicals are commonly used, including: lead-acid, nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer).

Rechargeable batteries have lower total cost of use and environmental impact than disposable batteries. Some rechargeable battery types are available in the same sizes as disposable types. Rechargeable batteries have higher initial cost, but can be recharged very cheaply and used many times.

Questions about this product

The 3 most helpful customer questions

User eugen6533

Auf die Seite "Dpreview.com" ist zu lesen dass:
a) DPreview.com: Olympus E-M1 Mark II = Sensor size = Four Thirds (17.4 x 13mm)
b) DPreview.com: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4.0 IS Pro = Lens mount = Micro Four Thirds

Auf die Seite https://petapixel.com/2017/03/11/olympus-officially-pulled-plug-four-thirds-lenses/ ein Kommentar sagt folgendes: "Note that Olympus Four-Thirds lenses still work on new Olympus Micro-Four-Thirds bodies (with an adapter)". Siehe auch das Skizze betreffend "Four Thirds" und "Mikro Four Thirds".

Frage an Digitec: Olympus E-M1 Mark II ist eine "Four Thirds" Body, das Objektiv aber eine "Micro Four Third". Passen beide zusammen??? Danke!
