Build your own retro game console with our Raspberry Pi 3 kit! Once you've put the set together, all you have to do is download a suitable operating system and load it onto the Raspberry Pi 3. As such, you can use RetroPie or RecalBox, for example. Once you have installed one of the two systems, you can download the appropriate ROMs from your favourite games onto the memory card and off you go with your beloved games from childhood!
The set consists of the following components:
Raspberry Pi 3 developer mainboard
The Raspberry Pi 3 is a small single-board computer with unlimited applications. It can be used as a retro gaming console, media center, server or weather station. A variety of operating systems are available for Raspberry Pi 3, including various Linux distributions. The Raspberry has 1 GB RAM and a 64 bit quad-core processor, which operates at a clock frequency of 1200 MHz. Connect the Raspberry Pi 3 to a TV or monitor via HDMI or composite. There are also four USB, one 3.5 mm audio and one LAN port.
Old Skool Retro Case for Raspberry Pi 3
Give your Raspberry Pi the perfect retro gaming look. This Nintendo NES-style case offers all the necessary cut-outs and interface access to the Raspberry Pi. The perfect case to make your own game console from the Pi board and a matching emulator!
Raspberry Pi 3 Power Supply
The choice of the right power supply often decides whether or not you can get a Raspberry Pi to run stably in the long run. Conventional USB chargers fit into the micro-USB socket, but are often unable to cope with short-term load peaks of the pi. The official Raspberry Pi 3 power supply offers with 5 V and 2.5 A the perfect voltage and enough current to reliably supply all USB ports of the Pi 3.
microSD card and HDMI cable
Included in the delivery is a 16 GB microSD card. To connect the Raspberry Pi 3 to a monitor or your TV, the set also includes a high-speed HDMI cable. The 2 meter long HDMI cable enables digital audio and video transmission. HDTV signals with resolutions up to 2160p are supported. In addition, the double-shielded cable also offers an Ethernet channel for a network connection.
