The NZXT N7 Z370 is an ATX mainboard with top equipment and a modern Z370 chipset from Intel, which is intended for Intel's core processors of the 8000 series. The board has a total of two PCIe x16 slots, one of which is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes, while the other two are connected with four or eight data lines. This allows the board to support both NVIDIA's SLI and AMD's CrossFireX technology, allowing multiple graphics cards to be used at the same time. An SLI bridge is also included with NZXT. The board also has two PCIe x4 slots and one PCIe x1 slot for plug-in and expansion cards.
Equipped with a total of four DIMM slots for DDR4 RAM in fast dual-channel mode, up to 64 GB RAM can be installed in the four memory banks. The Coffee Lake processors support a memory clock of 2.666 MHz, whereby memory modules with up to 3.866 MHz can also be used by means of overclocking.
The board provides two M.2 slots for fast NVMe M.2 SSDs and six SATA 6G ports for 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives and SSDs (including RAID support) for connecting data carriers. The M.2 ports are connected to the chipset via four PCIe lanes in the 3.0 standard and, in combination with the NV-Me protocol, enable a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB/s. This makes M.2 PCIe SSDs up to eight times faster than SATA 6G SSDs, whereby a slot can also be used in SATA 6 mode!
The motherboard has four USB 3.0 ports on the I/O panel. The I/O panel also has five USB 2.0 ports for input devices and other gaming peripherals. The connection to the Internet is realized via an Intel I219-V Gigabit LAN port with Anti-Surge LAN Guard. The excellent sound comes from Realtek's ALC1220 High Definition Audio Codec.
The internal connection variety also has more than remarkable features and offers various connections for USB, fans, LEDs, overclocking and more. Of course, LED lighting is a must, which is why the board comes with two LED strips and corresponding extension cables.…more
