MPLAB® REAL ICE™ In-Circuit Emulator System is the next generation of Microchip's high-speed emulators for Microchip® Flash DSC® and MCU devices. It debugs and programs PIC® and dsPIC® Flash microcontrollers
with the easy-to-use but powerful MPLAB® Integrated Development Environment (IDE) graphical user interface. The MPLAB® REAL ICE™ Probe connects to the PC with a high-speed USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with the target using either a connector from the popular MPLAB® ICD 2 system (RJ11) or the new high-speed, low-noise, low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) connection (CAT5). MPLAB® REAL ICE™ is upgradeable through future firmware downloads in MPLAB® IDE.
