Makeblock mBot 1.1 BT

Now with cover for the electronics, an improved front wheel and a special holder for
LiPo batteries.

What is mBot? mBot is an all-in-one solution to learn the practical experience in programming, electronics
and robotics. With mBlock, inspired by Scratch 2.0, you can connect the mBot to your computer via Bluetooth and open up the STEM world (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

What's new in version 1.1? The new protective cover protects the electronics better from the user and vice versa. The new front wheel allows the robot to drive better and more quietly. A holder for LiPo batteries is now included.

The mBot consists of 38 parts and can be assembled in approx. 10 minutes. The color-coded plugs make assembly very easy.
The mBot is powered either by 4 AA batteries or a 3.7V LiPo battery. A battery can be charged directly via the USB port.
The drag-and-drop of mBot - based on Scratch 2.0 - offers an easy introduction to the world of programming. You can fully concentrate on logic without having to learn a complicated program language.
mBot is about fun and creativity. Some programs are already pre-installed, the line follower, the obstacle rider and the remote controlled. The programs can be extended as required. How about a SUMO robot, a balloon shatterer or a football robot?

The mechanics of the mBot is compatible with the entire Makeblock platform as well as many LEGO parts. The electronics are based on the Arduino Open Source Platform. The mBot can be extended infinitely - the limits lie only in one's own creativity.
To help teachers and children get started, Makeblock offers comprehensive online tutorials and two dedicated online tutorials. These tutorials have been created by teachers and are continuously updated.

The mBot is delivered in two versions:
The Bluetooth version is better suited for use at home. The mBot can be connected via Bluetooth to any Bluetooth-compatible PC, tablet and smartphone (Apple from IOS7, Android from 2.3).
The 2.4G version is designed for the classroom and comes with a 2.4 dongle that must be plugged into the PC. Each dongle is permanently connected to an mBot.
Due to the modular system of the mBot, the transmitter modules can be easily exchanged. Both mBot also have a USB interface, via which the mBot can also be programmed.
There is an app for IOS and Android.
Programming is also possible via Bluetooth and USB from the PC (Bluetooth dongle required on the PC).
