Logitech ConferenceCam BCC950 (Cable, Skype for Business)

Description

The Logitech ConferenceCam combines high-definition video and hands-free calling for the highest audio quality in a simple and affordable business package, enabling professional video conferencing for small groups. With a 78-degree field of view, 180-degree pan and full-duplex speakerphone, the ConferenceCam is ideal for small group video conferencing in conference rooms, offices and group workrooms.
Now even small teams no longer have to rely on overbooked video conference rooms and no longer have to huddle together in front of a PC for video meetings. Users can pan, tilt and zoom the camera, answer and end calls quickly, adjust the volume and mute the microphone using the controls on the base and the remote control.
The camera extender and the 2.4 metre long USB cable allow you to adjust both the height and the distance to the camera in order to always make the best impression in video conferencing.
The ConferenceCam can be quickly connected via USB. It is optimized for use with Microsoft Lync and Skype and is also compatible with all popular video conferencing and UC platforms.
Video conferencing for small groups is finally here - everywhere.

USB

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and protocols used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices.

USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals, such as keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.

Full Duplex

A full-duplex, or sometimes double-duplex system allows communication in both directions, and unlike half-duplex, allows this to happen simultaneously. Land-line telephone networks are full-duplex since they allow both callers to speak and be heard at the same time. A good analogy for a full-duplex system would be a two-lane road with one lane for each direction.

Hands-free kit

A hands-free car kit, hands-free car kit or HFCK is a combination of speaker and microphone permanently installed in a device (e.g. mobile phone) or vehicle. The name is derived from the fact that neither loudspeakers nor microphones have to be routed to the ear or mouth, so hands remain free. Therefore, the term is also mistakenly used for so-called headsets.

Refresh rate
i

Refresh rate

The refresh rate (most commonly the "vertical refresh rate", "vertical scan rate" for CRTs) is the number of times in a second that a display hardware draws the data. This is distinct from the measure of frame rate in that the refresh rate includes the repeated drawing of identical frames, while frame rate measures how often a video source can feed an entire frame of new data to a display.

For example, most movie projectors advance from one frame to the next one 24 times each second. But each frame is illuminated two or three times before the next frame is projected using a shutter in front of its lamp. As a result, the movie projector runs at 24 frames per second, but has a 48 or 72 Hz refresh rate.

ConferenceCam BCC950 (Cable, Skype for Business)
