Seven years after her daughter Josefine (Stina Sundlöf) disappeared without a trace from the shore of a forest lake, the tough and traumatised detective Eva Thörnblad (Moa Gammel) returns to her homeland, the tranquil place Silverhöjd. When a small boy disappears into the same forest under similarly mysterious circumstances, Eva begins to search for parallels.
