Description

The ninth-generation Intel Core processors are called Coffee Lake-S Refresh. Besides a modified model series, one of the biggest novelties is the fact that the CPUs with free multiplier now get a soldered heatspreader (IHS). This allows the waste heat to be dissipated more efficiently from the CPU, allowing higher clock rates to be achieved over a longer period of time.

The Intel Core i9-9900K is the new top model of the Core 9000 series and has eight cores with Hyper-Threading (SMT), so it can execute up to 16 threads simultaneously. The Enthusiastic CPU can also convince with increased clock rates and optimized boost functions compared to its predecessors. The TDP of the eight core is only 95 watts. The processor is compatible with Socket-1151 300 series mainboards.

With a base clock rate of 3.6 GHz, the Core i9-9900K offers a high clock rate that can be automatically increased as more power is needed. The corresponding turbo boost function clocks the processor cores according to the required power. For example, depending on the application or game requirements, the boost increases either one core up to 5.0 GHz or all cores up to 4.7 GHz. As a processor with a free multiplier, the Intel Core i9-9900K can also be freely overclocked.

The processor supports a maximum standard clock of 2.666 MHz for the DDR4 memory and the CPU supports the dual channel mode. Depending on the motherboard, RAM kits with significantly higher clock rates can also be used via overclocking. Intel continues to use the LGA 1151(v2) as the socket, making the ninth generation processors compatible with 300 series chipsets. For mainboards with Z370, H370 or B360 chipset a BIOS update may be necessary!

The Intel HD Graphics UHD 630 is used as the integrated graphics unit. With its 24 execution units, it offers more than enough graphics power for Intel Quick Sync, GPU computing and of course the occasional game in between. In addition, the DirectX 12 graphics unit with feature level 12_1, OpenGL 4.5 and OpenCL 2.0 also supports playback of 4K, UHD resolutions at 60 Hz via DisplayPort - assuming an appropriate mainboard.

Wie wäre es wenn Digitec nicht immer Artikel nach Bestellung mit Release Tag inkl. Abholung ab ca. 11Uhr bestätigt, aber dann am Release Tag umstellt auf "unbekannt". Auf Telefonische nachfrage "ja wir haben vom Lieferant noch keinen Termin erhalten" warum schreibt ihr dies dann nicht von Anfang, ich wette das wusstet ihr schon vor Wochen ?!

@Digitec wollt ihr mich jetzt veräppeln?
Zuerst heisst es verkaufsstart am 19 und am 19 habt ihr soviel ich weiss keinen einzigen verkauft.
Stattdessen habt ihr den Liefertermin auf Unbekannt gesetzt bei eurem Shop und gleichzeitig bei einem Vergleichsportal die die Lieferfrist auf 7-9 Tage gesetzt, obwohl ihr auf Nachfrage keine Ahnung habt wann ihr ihn überhaupt liefern könnt.
Und als wäre das nicht schon genug Verwirrung, jetzt (am 21) macht ihr eine Aktion (525.- statt 629.-) wo die CPU 104 CHF billiger ist, bevor ihr überhaupt einen einzigen ausgeliefert habt und er ist auch noch billiger als sein Vorgänger (8700K / 529.-) in eurem Sortiment, das soll einer mal verstehen?!?

Testet ihr vielleicht gerade was die Schmerzgrenze eurer Kunden ist ?
Und wenn wir schon dabei sind, kriege ich die 104 CHF vergütet ? (zu sarkastisch ?)

Frage an alle/digitec:

Wäre es generell (von seitens digitec) nicht besser sämtliche Bewertungsmöglichkeiten für einen Artikel noch zu sperren, solange der Artikel noch gar nicht offiziell verkauft wird?

In einem Artikel zu den neuen Nvidia RTX GPUs kam eine offizielle Antwort bezüglich des Themas: digitec.ch/de/page/wann-kom...

Fazit: Digitec hat sich das auch überlegt, sich aber am Ende dagegen entschieden, da einige Leute schon vor Release das Produkt benutzt haben könnte.

Preisleistung lässt sehr zu wünschen Übrig aber abgesehen davon solide Leistung

Wie erwähnt nach Testing Bewertung geändert:
Preisleistung scheint mir im vergleich zu den neuen Ryzen Produkten nicht so zu stimmen. Ryzen 7 2700X ist für das Highend Spektrum wesentlich günstiger und liefert für das Preisleistungsverhältniss mehr.

Immernoch ein solider prozessor aber Überschiesst die Preisvorstellungen des gesammten Marktes an BenutzerCPUs für Workmachines und nicht für Server schon ziemlich.

Not as hot as expected

I was a bit worried about all the reviews, criticizing how this CPU can't keep up its boost frequencies over long periods of time due to excessive heat. Because of that, I specifically bought a Noctua NH-D15, because it's "the best air cooler, that can even measure with water cooler".

I let the CPU work on some raytracing app I wrote long ago. The app can put 100% load consistently on all cores.
It's been running for over 3 hours, the CPU has been clocked at 4.7 GHz (stock boost frequency for all 8 cores) this entire time without dropping even once, and the temperature is around 50-55 °C with the fans in "silent mode".

Maybe the 9900K really does get very hot, and the NH-D15 is just that good, but judging by those temps, I could try and overclock this CPU.

At stock frequencies, it vastly outperforms my old 6700K.
At least I can finally play Assassin's Creed Odyssey without constant microstuttering.
This CPU is probably not worth upgrading to for those who own the newer 7700K or 8700K, but for any who seek gaming performance, this is a pretty good CPU.
