A CPU cache is a cache used by the central processing unit of a computer to reduce the average time to access memory. The cache is a smaller, faster memory which stores copies of the data from the most frequently used main memory locations. As long as most memory accesses are cached memory locations, the average latency of memory accesses will be closer to the cache latency than to the latency of main memory.

Prozessor der Haswell-Refresh Serie. Hat Leistungs...

Prozessor der Haswell-Refresh Serie. Hat Leistungsvorteil gegenüber den herkömmlichen 4th gen i7 Prozessoren, kostet jedoch gleich viel (teilweise auch weniger) wie die 4th gen i7.

In allen bisherigen Belastungen und Tests schlägt er sich super. Einer der besten und schnellsten Prozessoren zur Zeit. Allerdings für Übertakter nicht geeignet, da kein freier Multiplikator. Wer nicht vor hat zu übertakten, liegt bei diesem Prozessor genau richtig. Der mitgelieferte BOX-Kühler erledigt seinen Job gut und die Montage ist kinderleicht. Da keine Übertaktung auch kein spezieller teurer Kühler nötig.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Hab den i7 4790 auf einem neuen ASUS Maximus VII R...

Hab den i7 4790 auf einem neuen ASUS Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard, gekühlt wird mit einem älteren, schon lange im Einsatz stehenden be quiet! Dark Rock Advanced C1.
Super Performance, flüsterleise. Meine Linux und Windows VM Clients mit Oracle DBs sind flinker als mancher produktive DB Server.
Uebertakten will und kann ich nicht - mit diesem Setup ist auch nicht der Prozessor der Bottleneck - eher Memory oder Anzahl Disks.
Ganz ehrlich: den kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
