Description

Hoya PRO ND filters are the latest development on the camera market and represent the new version of ND filters.
The Hoya PRO ND filters reduce the amount of light by 2 to 10 f-stops, allowing longer exposure times in particularly bright environments. Depending on the ND level, it is possible, for example, to take open-blended photographs in the midday sun or to create mystical water or human movements by means of correspondingly extended exposure times. Complemented by the perfect color balance, Hoya PRO ND filters become an indispensable tool for demanding photographers and filmmakers.
The innovative Hoya multilayer coating effectively reduces annoying reflections.
The filters have a matt black coated aluminium base which reduces reflections. The filters are equipped with black-framed glass to reduce possible light reflections through the outside. They have a thin filter mount to prevent vignetting of super wide-angle lenses - filter covers can be mounted. The filters are fitted with a knurled mount for non-slip attachment and removal.
The filter boxes are UV-protected and thus ensure a long filter life.

Available ND levels (aperture levels): ND4 (2), ND8 (3), ND16 (4), ND32 (5), ND32 (5), ND64 (6), ND100 (6 2/3), ND200 (72/3), ND500 (9), ND1000 (10)

Filters (photography)

In photography and videography, a filter is a camera accessory consisting of an optical filter that can be inserted in the optical path. The filter can be a square or oblong shape mounted in a holder accessory, or, more commonly, a glass or plastic disk with a metal or plastic ring frame, which can be screwed in front of the lens or clipped onto the lens.

Filters allow added control for the photographer of the images being produced. Sometimes they are used to make only subtle changes to images; other times the image would simply not be possible without them.

The negative aspects of using filters, though often negligible, include the possibility of loss of image definition if using dirty or scratched filters, and increased exposure required by the reduction in light transmitted. The former is best avoided by careful use and maintenance of filters, while the latter is a matter of technique; it usually will not be a problem if planned out properly, but in some situations filter use is impractical.

Neutral density filter

In photography and optics, a neutral density filter or ND filter is a filter that reduces or modifies intensity of all wavelengths or colors of light equally, giving no changes in hue of color rendition. It can be a colorless (clear) or grey filter. The purpose of a standard photographic neutral density filter is to allow the photographer greater flexibility to change the aperture, exposure time and/or motion blur of subject in different situations and atmospheric conditions.

Kurz gesagt: absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Daher 4 - 5 Sterne :-)
