Harman has developed a new wireless speaker. According to the manufacturer, the Harman Kardon Go + Play is intended for the demanding listener. The BT-speaker dock has four drivers, dual tweeter midrange and bass drivers with large excursion, as Harman promises. According to the manufacturer, Harman Kardon Go + Play can be connected to up to three devices at the same time. Several listeners could stream their favorite playlists and songs from their own iOS and Android devices. Simultaneous charging of the mobile devices is also possible via USB connection. Harman Kardon's dual-sound capable loudspeakers also allow wireless connections. A stainless steel handle makes the player a portable accessory. According to Harman, the battery lasts up to 8 hours. The manufacturer also praises the device for the telephone conference. Built-in microphone with echo and noise cancelling technology would enable natural sounding conversations even in noisy environments.…more

Battery-operated
A rechargeable battery or storage battery is a group of one or more electrochemical cells. They are known as secondary cells because their electrochemical reactions are electrically reversible. Rechargeable batteries come in many different shapes and sizes, ranging anything from a button cell to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Several different combinations of chemicals are commonly used, including: lead-acid, nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer). |
Battery properties
i
Battery propertiesThere are two types of batteries: primary batteries (disposable batteries), which are designed to be used once and discarded when they are exhausted, and secondary batteries (rechargeable batteries), which are designed to be recharged and used multiple times. Miniature cells are used to power devices such as hearing aids and wristwatches; larger batteries provide standby power for telephone exchanges or computer data centers. |

Li-ion
i
Li-ionA lithium-ion battery (sometimes Li-ion battery or LIB) is a member of a family of rechargeable battery types in which lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. Li-ion batteries use an intercalated lithium compound as the electrode material, compared to the metallic lithium used in non-rechargeable lithium battery. |
Battery life
i
Battery lifeBattery life will vary depending on the product configuration, product model, applications loaded on the product, power management settings of the product, and the product features used by the customer. As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of this battery will decrease with time and usage. |

Power supply
,
i
Power supplyA power supply is a device that supplies electrical energy to one or more electric loads. The term is most commonly applied to devices that convert one form of electrical energy to another, though it may also refer to devices that convert another form of energy (e.g., mechanical, chemical, solar) to electrical energy. A regulated power supply is one that controls the output voltage or current to a specific value; the controlled value is held nearly constant despite variations in either load current or the voltage supplied by the power supply's energy source.
