Gigaset CL660 Duo

Description

There is no need to compromise between design and functionality with the Gigaset CL660 - the cordless phone combines both: from a large colour display and high-quality processing to brilliant voice quality and individual picture and ringtone settings. The telephone offers everything you need for even better communication.
The Gigaset CL660A also has an integrated answering machine with up to 55 minutes recording time.

Functionality can be this beautiful.
The CL660 combines a modern look with convincing handling: The frameless keyboard is flush-mounted in the telephone. This makes the navigation key stand out visually, making the phone easier and more intuitive to use. Together with the large, high-resolution display, the result is optimum operating comfort for you. Finally, the anthracite gives the phone an elegant look that blends in perfectly with your four walls.

Give the Gigaset CL660 your own personal touch: With the Picture Clip function you can store pictures of your contacts in your address book and see immediately who is calling you. In addition, you have the option of embellishing the background and screen saver of the handset with your own photos. You can also easily set your own ringtones. Personalize your CL660 easily with the free Gigaset QuickSync software. You can download them here for your PC or Mac.

The CL660's address book can hold up to 400 entries, each with three phone numbers. With the Gigaset QuickSync software, you can easily manage and update them on your PC or Mac. The contacts can also be synchronized with your MS Outlook, Windows or Google Cloud address books via Micro-USB. If you also want to assign pictures to your contacts, this is also very easy. Just as practical: VIP phone numbers and the birthday reminder function for particularly important people and occasions.

A telephone directory contains an alphabetical list of all subscribers in a telephone network, usually divided into regions, together with their associated and unique telephone numbers. Not included are secret numbers or telephone numbers for which the customer has objected to an entry or does not wish to be published in the print media (publication on CD-ROM, on the Internet or via the information is nevertheless possible). Due to the many addresses included, telephone directories can also be used as an address book.

Hands-free kit
i

Hands-free kit

A hands-free car kit, hands-free car kit or HFCK is a combination of speaker and microphone permanently installed in a device (e.g. mobile phone) or vehicle. The name is derived from the fact that neither loudspeakers nor microphones have to be routed to the ear or mouth, so hands remain free. Therefore, the term is also mistakenly used for so-called headsets.

Display size
i

Display size

The size of a display is typically given as the distance between two opposite screen corners. One problem with this method is that it does not distinguish between the aspect ratios of monitors with identical diagonal sizes, in spite of the fact that a shape of a given diagonal span's area decreases as it becomes less square. For example, a 4:3 21" monitor has an area of ~211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" widescreen has an area of only ~188 square inches.

Headphone Jack 2.5 mm

Modern TS and TRS connectors are available in three standard sizes. The original 1/4" (6.35 mm) version dates from 1878, for use in manual telephone exchanges—making it possibly the oldest electrical connector standard still in use. The 3.5 mm or miniature and 2.5 mm or subminiature sizes were originally designed as two-conductor connectors for earpieces on transistor radios. The 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm sizes are also referred to as 1/8" and 3/32" respectively in the United States, though those dimensions are only approximations. All three sizes are now readily available in two-conductor (unbalanced mono) and three-conductor (balanced mono or unbalanced stereo) versions.

Battery properties

i

Battery properties

There are two types of batteries: primary batteries (disposable batteries), which are designed to be used once and discarded when they are exhausted, and secondary batteries (rechargeable batteries), which are designed to be recharged and used multiple times. Miniature cells are used to power devices such as hearing aids and wristwatches; larger batteries provide standby power for telephone exchanges or computer data centers.

Battery type
NiMH
i

NiMH

A nickel–metal hydride battery, abbreviated NiMH or Ni–MH, is a type of rechargeable battery. Its chemical reactions are somewhat similar to the largely obsolete nickel–cadmium cell (NiCd). NiMH use positive electrodes of nickel oxyhydroxide (NiOOH), like the NiCd, but the negative electrodes use a hydrogen-absorbing alloy instead of cadmium, being in essence a practical application of nickel–hydrogen battery chemistry. A NiMH battery can have two to three times the capacity of an equivalent size NiCd, and their energy density approaches that of a lithium-ion cell.

Power supply
i

Power supply

A power supply is a device that supplies electrical energy to one or more electric loads. The term is most commonly applied to devices that convert one form of electrical energy to another, though it may also refer to devices that convert another form of energy (e.g., mechanical, chemical, solar) to electrical energy. A regulated power supply is one that controls the output voltage or current to a specific value; the controlled value is held nearly constant despite variations in either load current or the voltage supplied by the power supply's energy source.
