Description

With the Garmin Tour Routing function, you can find winding and mountainous off-road routes and enjoy pure driving pleasure. In addition, there is a bright, 4.3-inch touch screen that can be operated with gloves, is easy to read and intuitive to use.

The advantages of Bluetooth technology
Sync zūmo with a compatible smartphone and Bluetooth headset or helmet (sold separately). This allows you to use the phone's hands-free function and continue to concentrate on the road without taking your phone out of your pocket.

You want some music?
Listen to some music on the way. Control music and media from compatible MP3 players or smartphones directly via the navigation device's touch screen with zūmo

Safer on the road thanks to warnings
The zūmo 395LM provides useful warnings about sharp bends, speed changes, level crossings, game passes, schools and the like. If you drive on a one-way street in the wrong direction, the device also informs you of this. On longer tours, a tiredness warner also suggests breaks and possible rest areas that you should visit if you have been on the road for hours. The zūmo shows you POIs and important points along the route without you having to leave the map page of the navigation system. If you want to add a waypoint to drive through preferred areas or follow specific roads, you can use the easy route adjustment.

Summary:
4.3-inch touch screen (IPX7) with gloves and sunlight readability (more information for customers from DE, AT and CH) | Road maps for Europe (45 countries) with free life-long map updates | Click here to view the map coverage for all of Europe (more information for customers from DE, AT and CH) | Garmin Tour Routing function avoids highways and finds new winding and mountainous routes | Warning for sharp curves, level crossings | Use the hands-free function | Control the music database from iPod, iPhone3 or MP3 player directly on the display

Hands-free kit

A hands-free car kit, hands-free car kit or HFCK is a combination of speaker and microphone permanently installed in a device (e.g. mobile phone) or vehicle. The name is derived from the fact that neither loudspeakers nor microphones have to be routed to the ear or mouth, so hands remain free. Therefore, the term is also mistakenly used for so-called headsets.

Data storage properties

A data storage device is a device for recording (storing) information (data). Recording can be done using virtually any form of energy, spanning from manual muscle power in handwriting, to acoustic vibrations in phonographic recording, to electromagnetic energy modulating magnetic tape and optical discs. Europe

Europe

Europa is, by convention, one of the world's seven continents. Comprising the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, Europe is generally divided from Asia by the watershed divides of the Ural and Caucasus Mountains, the Ural River, the Caspian and Black Seas, and the waterways connecting the Black and Aegean Seas. Europe is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Black Sea and connected waterways to the southeast. Yet the borders of Europe—a concept dating back to classical antiquity—are somewhat arbitrary, as the primarily physiographic term "continent" can incorporate cultural and political elements.

Display properties

i

Display properties

A display device is an output device for presentation of information for visual, tactile or auditory reception, acquired, stored, or transmitted in various forms. When the input information is supplied as to electrical signal, the display is called electronic display. Electronic displays are available for presentation of visual, tactile and auditory information.

Display size
i

Display size

The size of a display is typically given as the distance between two opposite screen corners. One problem with this method is that it does not distinguish between the aspect ratios of monitors with identical diagonal sizes, in spite of the fact that a shape of a given diagonal span's area decreases as it becomes less square. For example, a 4:3 21" monitor has an area of ~211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" widescreen has an area of only ~188 square inches.

Aspect ratio
i

Aspect ratio

The aspect ratio of an image is the ratio of the width of the image to its height, expressed as two numbers separated by a colon. That is, for an x:y aspect ratio, no matter how big or small the image is, if the width is divided into x units of equal length and the height is measured using this same length unit, the height will be measured to be y units. Aspect ratios are mathematically expressed as x:y.

Touchscreen technology
i

Touchscreen technology

A touchscreen is a display which can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. The term generally refers to touch or contact to the display of the device by a finger or hand. Touchscreens can also sense other passive objects, such as a stylus. However, if the object sensed is active, as with a light pen, the term touchscreen is generally not applicable. The ability to interact directly with a display typically indicates the presence of a touchscreen.
