The Running Dynamics Pod is attached to the waistband of the running trousers and measures running efficiency values that contribute to optimizing your running training. With the Running Dynamics Pod you have the possibility to train without heart rate chest strap. Pair the device with a compatible Smartwatch, attach it to the center back of your running trousers and start your workout.
View and analyze important running efficiency values such as stride rate, stride length, ground contact time, ground contact time balance, vertical movement and vertical ratio. These biomechanical readings will help you better interpret your running form to be in top form on the day of competition.
The Running Dynamics Pod module includes an accelerometer that measures body movements to calculate 6 parameters for running efficiency.
The step frequency is the number of steps per minute. It displays the number of total steps (cumulated for right and left).
The balance of the ground contact time shows the ratio (left/right) of your ground contact time when running. It is issued as a percentage. For example, it is displayed as 53.2 along with an arrow pointing left or right.
The stride length is the length of your stride from one touchdown to the next. It is measured in meters.
The vertical movement is the high/low movement when running. It shows the vertical movement of the upper body in centimetres for each step.
The vertical ratio describes the relation of vertical movement to stride length. It is displayed as a percentage. A lower value usually indicates a better running form/technique.
The ground contact time is the time per step you spend walking on the ground. It is measured in milliseconds.…more
