Description

The X-E3 is equipped with a 24.3 megapixel X-Trans CMOS III sensor in APS-C format and the powerful image processor (X Processor Pro). The X-E3 is the first camera of the X series to offer the possibility to transfer image data wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet via an energy-saving Bluetooth interface.

The large touch screen display on the back of the camera makes shooting even more intuitive with familiar functions such as "Touch Shot", "Touch AF" and "Focus Area Selection". In addition, the new "touch function" offers additional possibilities for controlling the camera using finger gestures. A new autofocus algorithm provides a performance boost, especially for automatic tracking of moving objects.

Compact and lightweight housing

The X-E3 is the handiest viewfinder camera of the X series. It is so compact and light that you can take it with you every day in everyday life and when travelling. The housing is optimally balanced and lies comfortably in the hand thanks to the pronounced recessed grip. The camera also has a focus joystick. It allows the focus range to be adjusted quickly and easily without having to remove the camera from the eye.

On the top of the camera there are two mechanical aluminum dials, which perfectly round off the high-quality design and give the user an appealing haptic feedback with every setting. One of the wheels is used to set the exposure time, the other for exposure compensation. The exposure compensation wheel has a C-position, which allows the correction to be extended up to ±5 EV steps.

In addition, the X-E3 has an AUTO mode that can be easily switched on and off using a switch at the top of the camera. When activated, the camera recognizes the scene and automatically selects a suitable setting.

Outstanding image quality and faster response time

The combination of the 24.3 megapixel X-Trans CMOS III sensor in APS-C format and the X Processor Pro ensures outstanding image quality and speed. After switching on, the camera is ready to take its first picture in only 0.4 seconds, the shutter release time of only 0.050 seconds is practically imperceptible. The performance of the X-E3 is also evident in the recording.

Wireless connection with Bluetooth function

The X-E3 is the first camera of the X series equipped with an energy-saving Bluetooth function. The camera can be connected to a smartphone or tablet before recording. Using the "FUJIFILM Camera Remote" app, the images can then be transferred very easily with the lowest possible energy consumption.

Intuitive touch screen operation

The 7.6 cm (3 inch) monitor has 1.04 million pixels and offers a touchscreen function. When "Touch Mode" is activated, one of the following recording and playback modes can be selected:

Recording Modes

The camera also offers a "touch function" for quick access to previously defined functions by wiping up and down as well as right and left. As the photographer looks through the electronic viewfinder, he can move the focus area with his finger on the display. The scope of the "Touch function" can be set in the camera settings: "ALL", "RIGHT", "LEFT" or "OFF".

Ultra HD 4K video recording

The X-E3 records videos in either Full HD or Ultra HD (4K). The popular film simulations for which the X Series is famous can also be applied to filming. Movie recording can also be controlled via an external monitor that can be connected directly to the camera via an HDMI cable. The X-E3 also has an input for an external microphone.

CMOS

Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) is a term for semiconductor devices that use both p-channel and n-channel MOSFETs on a common substrate. CMOS technology refers to both the semiconductor process used to realize integrated digital and analog circuits and a logic family. CMOS technology is the most widely used logic family today and is mainly used for integrated circuits.

ISO light sensitivity (auto)

The American Standards Association (ASA) and the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) film speed standards have been combined into the ISO standards. The current International Standard for measuring the speed of color negative film is ISO 5800:1987 from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Related standards ISO 6:1993 and ISO 2240:2003 define scales for speeds of black-and-white negative film and color reversal film. This system defines both an arithmetic and a logarithmic scale, combining the previously separate ASA and DIN systems.
Commonly, the logarithmic speed is omitted; for example, "ISO 100" denotes ISO 100/21°.

ISO light sensitivity (manual)
i

ISO light sensitivity (manual)

The ISO 5800 standard defines the light sensitivity of film material.
For both scales: the higher the number, the more light-sensitive the film. For linear ASA scaling, a double value corresponds to twice the sensitivity. In the logarithmic DIN scale, an increase of 3° corresponds to a doubling.
In photography, doubling the light sensitivity of the film material means that under given lighting conditions the exposure time can be halved to avoid camera shake or the lens can be closed one f-stop further to achieve a greater depth of field.

Camera lens properties

i

Camera lens properties

A camera lens (also known as photographic lens, objective lens or photographic objective) is an optical lens or assembly of lenses used in conjunction with a camera body and mechanism to make images of objects either on photographic film or on other media capable of storing an image chemically or electronically.
While in principle a simple convex lens will suffice, in practice a compound lens made up of a number of optical lens elements is required to correct (as much as possible) the many optical aberrations that arise. Some aberrations will be present in any lens system. It is the job of the lens designer to balance these out and produce a design that is suitable for photographic use and possibly mass production.
A lens may be permanently fixed to a camera, or it may be interchangeable with lenses of different focal lengths, apertures, and other properties.

More information...

Lens mount
i

Lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.

Display properties

A display device is an output device for presentation of information for visual, tactile or auditory reception, acquired, stored, or transmitted in various forms. When the input information is supplied as to electrical signal, the display is called electronic display. Electronic displays are available for presentation of visual, tactile and auditory information.

Display size
i

Display size

The size of a display is typically given as the distance between two opposite screen corners. One problem with this method is that it does not distinguish between the aspect ratios of monitors with identical diagonal sizes, in spite of the fact that a shape of a given diagonal span's area decreases as it becomes less square. For example, a 4:3 21" monitor has an area of ~211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" widescreen has an area of only ~188 square inches.

Touchscreen

A touchscreen is a display which can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. The term generally refers to touch or contact to the display of the device by a finger or hand. Touchscreens can also sense other passive objects, such as a stylus. However, if the object sensed is active, as with a light pen, the term touchscreen is generally not applicable. The ability to interact directly with a display typically indicates the presence of a touchscreen.

Viewfinder

In photography, a viewfinder is what the photographer looks through to compose, and in many cases to focus, the picture. Most viewfinders are separate, and suffer parallax, while the single-lens reflex camera lets the viewfinder use the main optical system. Viewfinders are used in many cameras of different types: still and movie, film, analog and digital. A zoom camera usually zooms its finder in sync with its lens, one exception being rangefinder cameras.

Focusing

i

Focusing

In geometrical optics, a focus, also called an image point, is the point where light rays originating from a point on the object converge. Although the focus is conceptually a point, physically the focus has a spatial extent, called the blur circle. This non-ideal focusing may be caused by aberrations of the imaging optics. In the absence of significant aberrations, the smallest possible blur circle is the Airy disc, which is caused by diffraction from the optical system's aperture. Aberrations tend to get worse as the aperture diameter increases, while the Airy circle is smallest for large apertures.

In computing, JPEG is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography (image). The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.

JPEG compression is used in a number of image file formats. JPEG/Exif is the most common image format used by digital cameras and other photographic image capture devices; along with JPEG/JFIF, it is the most common format for storing and transmitting photographic images on the World Wide Web. These format variations are often not distinguished, and are simply called JPEG.

RAW support

A camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, image scanner, or motion picture film scanner. Raw files are named so because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor. Normally, the image is processed by a raw converter in a wide-gamut internal colorspace where precise adjustments can be made before conversion to a "positive" file format such as TIFF or JPEG for storage, printing, or further manipulation, which often encodes the image in a device-dependent colorspace. There are dozens if not hundreds of raw formats in use by different models of digital equipment (like cameras or film scanners).[1]

A rechargeable battery or storage battery is a group of one or more electrochemical cells. They are known as secondary cells because their electrochemical reactions are electrically reversible. Rechargeable batteries come in many different shapes and sizes, ranging anything from a button cell to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Several different combinations of chemicals are commonly used, including: lead-acid, nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer).

Rechargeable batteries have lower total cost of use and environmental impact than disposable batteries. Some rechargeable battery types are available in the same sizes as disposable types. Rechargeable batteries have higher initial cost, but can be recharged very cheaply and used many times.

X-E3 Body (24.30MP, 14FPS, Wi-Fi)

Maximale Performance in kompaktem Gehäuse

Ein 'Must'!
