The Fritz Hansen Calabash P2 pendant lamp by designer studio Komplot Design is inspired by a gourd. With its organically soft curves made of reflective aluminum, it evokes the traditional vessel for storing and transporting liquids, known as a calabash, found in many cultures across Asia, Africa, and South America.

Successful Danish interior design: Poul Christiansen and Boris Berlin view design as a kind of intermediary, a link that emerges in the tension-filled space of no man's land between user and manufacturer, between emotion and reason, between innovations and traditions. Designer Boris Berlin, born in St. Petersburg in 1953, and Danish architect Poul Christiansen, born in 1957, met in 1987, founded their design studio KOMPLOT in Copenhagen, and have been creating designs, accessories, furniture, and lighting for over 30 years for the interior design manufacturer Fritz Hansen, each telling their own stories of people, cultures, and traditions.
