Epson ColorWorks C831

The Epson ColorWorks C831 (GP-C831) is an industrial micro piezo inkjet label printer that is ideal for printing labels on large drums and chemical labels. It complies with GHS standards.

Unlike dot-matrix printers, the C831 can print advanced barcodes, crisp text and photos, and can be used with a wide range of media, including glossy paper and labels. Thanks to the Epson DURABrite Ultra pigment ink, the printer achieves long-lasting prints on any medium, which are smudge- and waterproof as well as light-resistant and can be processed immediately with a highlighter.

The C831's robust design is designed to deliver high print volumes without quality loss for up to five years. Patented Epson technology protects the printhead nozzles from dust, so that the C831 can also be used in demanding environments without problems.

In Super Draft mode, the efficient C831 prints up to 19.7 pages per minute. It corrects paper jams within seconds by automatically releasing the paper as soon as an error occurs. You can also release the paper at the touch of a button.

The C831 guarantees easy integration because it is equipped with parallel, USB and LAN 100/10BASE interfaces as standard.

Label printers

A label printer is a computer printer that prints on self-adhesive label material and/or card-stock (tags). Label printers with built-in keyboards and displays, for stand-alone use (without a computer), are often called label makers. Label printers are different from ordinary printers because they need to have special feed mechanisms to handle rolled stock, or tear sheet (fanfold) stock.

Ethernet play is a family of computer networking technologies for local area networks (LANs) commercially introduced in 1980. Standardized in IEEE 802.3, Ethernet has largely replaced competing wired LAN technologies.
Systems communicating over Ethernet divide a stream of data into individual packets called frames. Each frame contains source and destination addresses and error-checking data so that damaged data can be detected and re-transmitted.
The standards define several wiring and signaling variants. The original 10BASE5 Ethernet used coaxial cable as a shared medium. Later the coaxial cables were replaced by twisted pair and fiber optic links in conjunction with hubs or switches. Data rates were periodically increased from the original 10 megabits per second, to 100 gigabits per second.
