Modulated Filter

An expressive modulated filter that bridges the worlds of guitar effects and modular synthesis. The EHX Blurst Modulated Filter brings technology from keyboards and modular synthesizers into a pedal designed for guitarists and bassists. The Blurst modulates the sound of an instrument like an envelope filter, but instead of the filter response being controlled by playing dynamics, it is controlled by an internal oscillator. The Blurst is a must-have for the adventurous player looking to explore sound territory.

  • Features an analog low-pass filter with adjustable resonance
  • Three modulation waveforms: triangle, rising sawtooth, and falling sawtooth
  • The modulation rate can be set either by the Rate knob or a combination of the Tap footswitch and Tap Divide switch, offering quarter, dotted eighth, and triplet rhythms
  • Three EXP modes, Range, Rate, and Filter, can be controlled via an expression pedal or a control voltage source
  • The Range knob sets the frequency range of the filter modulation, while the Blend knob adjusts the dry/filtered signal mix.
