Dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) is a type of random-access memory that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. The capacitor can be either charged or discharged; these two states are taken to represent the two values of a bit, conventionally called 0 and 1. Since capacitors leak charge, the information eventually fades unless the capacitor charge is refreshed periodically. Because of this refresh requirement, it is a dynamic memory as opposed to SRAM and other static memory.

The main memory (the "RAM") in personal computers is Dynamic RAM (DRAM). It is the RAM in laptop, notebook and workstation computers as well as some of the RAM of home game consoles (PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Wii).

These modules are mounted on a printed circuit board and designed for use in personal computers, workstations and servers. DIMMs began to replace SIMMs (single in-line memory modules) as the predominant type of memory module as Intel P5-based Pentium processors began to gain market share.

The main difference between SIMMs and DIMMs is that DIMMs have separate electrical contacts on each side of the module, while the contacts on SIMMs on both sides are redundant. Another difference is that standard SIMMs have a 32-bit data path, while standard DIMMs have a 64-bit data path.

1. Optionally implement ECC, which is an extra data byte lane used for correcting minor errors and detecting major errors for better reliability. Modules with ECC are identified by an additional ECC in their designation.

Schönen Guten Tag zusammen

Habe bereits das zweite Kit von diesen Ram. Das erste war mach 3 Monaten kaputt und wurde anstandslos von Digitec ersetzt. Memtest brachte Fehler ohne Ende.
Das 2te Kit ging gestern endgültig flöten nach sporadischen Memory Bluescreens. Morgen wird ein Digitec Besuch nötig :-Dmore

Garantieabwicklung mangelhaft

Produkt seit 3 Jahren im Einsatz, ab März 2016 Bluescreens, Abstürze des PC, Grund vorerst nicht nachvollziehbar. Erst durch Memtest86 konnte der Fehler im RAM gefunden werden. Abwicklung des Garantieantrages wird durch digitec unnötig erschwert - gut 2 Wochen nach Einreichen an die Servicestelle von digitec wird mitgeteilt, dass die restlichen 2 RAM-Riegel auch benötigt werden. Ersatz durch 2 4-GB Module wird verweigert, auf mein Nachfragen und Lösungsansätze für eine einvernehmliche Lösung wird nicht eingetreten. Uneriöse, den Prozess verzögernde Arbeit durch die Digitec-Servicestelle, unzulässige Annahmen (Kunde wünscht Gutschrift... was so nie festgehalten wurde). Es ist bedauerlich, solche Probleme über eine Garantieabwicklung festhalten zu müssen.more

Die Fehler kann ich bestätigen, hab 2 Pc's, in ein...

Die Fehler kann ich bestätigen, hab 2 Pc's, in einem sind 4x4 GB und in anderem 2x4GB und nach ca 4-5 Monaten häuften sich bluescreens und Software abstüze. Memtest brachte über 500 000 Fehler zu Tage, habe die bereits ausgetauscht. Beim 2-ten set das gleiche, 3-4 Monate nach austausch fingen die Bluescreens an, wieder Fehler in den Ram. Habe bei beiden PC's andere Ram eingebaut, läuft seit 2 Monaten Prima. Übertaktet hab ich nicht, alle werte auf standard, Mainboards sind verschieden. Schade, das die Ram so schnell kaputtgehen, sonst wären sie ok.more
