Description

The full-featured printer, scanner, copier, copier and fax machine is specially designed for the home office where high black and white and color print quality is required at low cost per page. Marker and abrasion-resistant DRHD inks deliver deep black tones, vibrant colours and crisp text. The A4 print speed of the Canon MAXIFY MB5150 models is up to 24 ISO pages in black and white and 15.5 ISO pages in color, with the first page in the output tray in approximately 6 seconds (FCOT). Double-sided scanning makes it possible to scan documents even faster.
Starting with the low energy consumption of only approx. 0.2 kWh (TEC) up to the individually replaceable ink tanks, economy is a high priority for this multifunctional system. The black ink allows up to 2,500 ISO pages to be printed and the colour inks up to 1,500 pages - so the work of replacing the ink has to be interrupted much less frequently.
The optional four-colour Multipack makes printing even more cost-effective.
The 8.8 cm (3.5 inch) TFT color touchscreen of the Canon MAXIFY MB5150 allows intuitive use of print, scan, copy and fax functions.
In addition to the high paper capacity of up to 250 pages and a document feeder for up to 50 sheets, the multifunctional system offers automatic double-sided printing and support for a wide range of print media - from standard A4 paper, envelopes and photo paper to duplicate double-sided ID cards - so that all print jobs in the office can be processed quickly and easily.
Support for Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint (iOS), Mopria and the Canon PRINT App makes printing and scanning on mobile devices easy. Print directly from the cloud and save scanned documents directly to a cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, OneNote, OneDrive and Concur.
The access point mode allows a mobile device to be connected directly to the multifunctional system without the need for a WLAN network.
IP address filtering allows you to restrict the number of users for certain functions, and SMTP email support enables secure scanning to email.
The system administrator can quickly and easily configure the multifunctional system and restrict the use of certain functions such as scan-to-USB.
The compatibility with SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) makes it particularly easy to integrate the multifunctional system into an existing network.
The SNMP standard also allows monitoring functions including ink levels, error messages and page counters.

Duplex scanning

Duplex scanning is a feature of computer scanners and multifunction printers (MFPs) that allows the automatic scanning of a sheet of paper on both sides. Devices without this capability can only scan a single side of a sheet of paper at a time.

In general, duplex scanning is achieved on multifunction printers using a Reversing Automatic Document Feeder (RADF). Duplex scanning is achieved on computer scanners by either RADF or by single pass duplex scanning using two cameras; one for the front side of the document and one for the back side of the document.

On MFPs, it is common to find duplex scanning on devices that also have duplex printing capabilities.

Up to a point, printers with higher DPI produce clearer and more detailed output. A printer does not necessarily have a single DPI measurement; it is dependent on print mode, which is usually influenced by driver settings. The range of DPI supported by a printer is most dependent on the print head technology it uses. A dot matrix printer, for example, applies ink via tiny rods striking an ink ribbon, and has a relatively low resolution, typically in the range of 60 to 90 DPI. An inkjet printer sprays ink through tiny nozzles, and is typically capable of 300-600 DPI. A laser printer applies toner through a controlled electrostatic charge, and may be in the range of 600 to 1800 DPI.

Usually pages per minute refers to sparse monochrome office documents, rather than dense pictures which usually print much more slowly. A photocopier (also known as a copier or copy machine) is a machine that makes paper copies of documents and other visual images quickly and cheaply. Most current photocopiers use a technology called xerography, a dry process using heat. (Copiers can also use other technologies such as ink jet, but xerography is standard for office copying.)

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and protocols used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices.

USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals, such as keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.

On most copiers, you have a choice of scanning on the flatbed or platen (the "glass") or through a document feeder. The vast majority of fax machines have an ADF, allowing the unattended sending of multi-page faxes. Due to the ubiquity of ADF in fax machines, some fax machine owners use the fax machine as a scanner, faxing multi-page documents to themselves.

Fax properties

i

Fax properties

Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine, which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, the information is then transmitted as electrical signals through the telephone system. The receiving fax machine reconverts the coded image, printing a paper copy.

The term generally refers to touch or contact to the display of the device by a finger or hand. Touchscreens can also sense other passive objects, such as a stylus. The ability to interact directly with a display typically indicates the presence of a touchscreen.

Display size

The size of a display is typically given as the distance between two opposite screen corners. One problem with this method is that it does not distinguish between the aspect ratios of monitors with identical diagonal sizes, in spite of the fact that a shape of a given diagonal span's area decreases as it becomes less square. For example, a 4:3 21" monitor has an area of ~211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" widescreen has an area of only ~188 square inches.

Laut der Canon Homepage de.canon.ch/printers/inkjet... sollten die Canon PGI-2500XL Patronen für dieses Modell auch funktionieren.

MB5150 MAXIFY (Wi-Fi, Ink, Colour, Duplex printing)
