Description

The colour inkjet printer with the ideal speed, capacity and economy for any smaller office. With its large 500-sheet paper tray, the Canon MAXIFY iB4150 offers a generous paper capacity. Thanks to its marker- and abrasion-resistant DRHD inks, it delivers high-quality prints with vivid colours and pin sharp text. The Canon MAXIFY iB4150 prints A4 at up to 24/15.5 ISO pages per minute (B/W/colour), with the first page (FPOT) in the output tray in just 6 seconds.

From low power consumption to the long range of individually replaceable inks, the Canon MAXIFY iB4150 is designed to reduce operating costs. The black ink offers a range of up to 2,500 ISO pages and the colour inks allow printing of up to 1,500 pages - so work in the office is not constantly interrupted by ink changes. An optional four-colour multipack is also available to further reduce printing costs.

The Canon MAXIFY iB4150 makes it easy to be productive and get the job done. Automatic double-sided printing and support for a wide range of print media - from A4 plain paper to labels, envelopes and photo paper - makes it easy to handle all common office print jobs. With its easy-to-use features, the Canon MAXIFY iB4150 is ideal for all print jobs in a typical office environment.

Support for Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint (iOS), Mopria and the Canon PRINT app enables easy printing from mobile devices. All current cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, OneNote and OneDrive can also be used for direct printing. Access point mode allows a mobile device to connect directly to the printer without the need for a wireless network.

The Canon MAXIFY iB4150 delivers excellent print quality and productivity to smaller offices. It also offers extensive administrator functions that make it easy to manage, monitor and control the printer. Additional options allow a system administrator to quickly and easily configure the printer and limit its use.

The Canon MAXIFY iB4150 is SNMP compatible (Simple Network Management Protocol), making it easy to integrate into an existing office network. SNMP also enables maintenance and monitoring functions including ink levels, error messages and page counters.

Printers

In computing, a printer is a peripheral which produces a text and/or graphics of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies. Many printers are primarily used as local peripherals, and are attached by a printer cable or, in most new printers, a USB cable to a computer which serves as a document source. Some printers, commonly known as network printers, have built-in network interfaces, typically wireless and/or Ethernet based, and can serve as a hard copy device for any user on the network. Individual printers are often designed to support both local and network connected users at the same time. In addition, a few modern printers can directly interface to electronic media such as memory cards, or to image capture devices such as digital cameras, scanners; some printers are combined with a scanners and/or fax machines in a single unit, and can function as photocopiers.

Printing resolution

Printing resolution

Up to a point, printers with higher DPI produce clearer and more detailed output. A printer does not necessarily have a single DPI measurement; it is dependent on print mode, which is usually influenced by driver settings. The range of DPI supported by a printer is most dependent on the print head technology it uses. A dot matrix printer, for example, applies ink via tiny rods striking an ink ribbon, and has a relatively low resolution, typically in the range of 60 to 90 DPI. An inkjet printer sprays ink through tiny nozzles, and is typically capable of 300-600 DPI. A laser printer applies toner through a controlled electrostatic charge, and may be in the range of 600 to 1800 DPI.

Printing speed (ISO color)

PPM = Pages Per Minute
Since each printer manufacturer measures the print speed with its own method, there is a standard that specifies how to measure the speed.
Three documents with 4 pages each (Excel table, Word document and a PDF file) with graphics diagrams are required. The printer must be tested as it comes out of the box, with the default setting of the software then installed.
This number can be used to compare the printing speed of various printers.

Connectivity

Ethernet
i

Ethernet

Ethernet play is a family of computer networking technologies for local area networks (LANs) commercially introduced in 1980. Standardized in IEEE 802.3, Ethernet has largely replaced competing wired LAN technologies.
Systems communicating over Ethernet divide a stream of data into individual packets called frames. Each frame contains source and destination addresses and error-checking data so that damaged data can be detected and re-transmitted.
The standards define several wiring and signaling variants. The original 10BASE5 Ethernet used coaxial cable as a shared medium. Later the coaxial cables were replaced by twisted pair and fiber optic links in conjunction with hubs or switches. Data rates were periodically increased from the original 10 megabits per second, to 100 gigabits per second.

i

USB 2.0 Mini-A linkage

Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus standard to interface devices. USB was designed to allow many peripherals to be connected using a single standardized interface socket and to improve the plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer (hot swapping). Other convenient features include providing power to low-consumption devices without the need for an external power supply and allowing many devices to be used without requiring manufacturer specific, individual device drivers to be installed.
The Mini-B, Micro-A, Micro-B , and Micro-AB connectors are used for smaller devices such as PDAs, mobile phones or digital cameras. The Standard-A plug is approximately 4 by 12 mm, the Standard-B approximately 7 by 8 mm, and the Micro-A and Micro-B plugs approximately 2 by 7 mm.

Mac OS X, whose X is the Roman numeral for 10 and is a prominent part of its brand identity, is a Unix-based graphical operating system, built on technologies developed at NeXT between the second half of the 1980s and Apple's purchase of the company in late 1996. From its sixth release, Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" and onward, every release of Mac OS X gained UNIX 03 certification while running on Intel processors.

iB4150 MAXIFY (Ink, Wi-Fi, Colour)
