MFC-J6935DW (Wi-Fi, Ink, Colour, Duplex printing)
MFC-J6935DW (Wi-Fi, Ink, Colour, Duplex printing)

Description

Multitasking is part of everyday business in small offices and medium-sized companies. The MFC-J6530DW takes it to a new level: The innovative inkjet all-in-one prints, copies and scans in A4 and A3 as well as at an impressive speed. It only takes 6 seconds until the first printout or copy is ready, in one minute it takes up to 22 ipm. The pigment-based ink also dries in an instant, leaving a longer lasting, razor-sharp impression in intense black or strong colour. A 250-sheet paper tray with single sheet feeder and a 50-sheet ADF with copy sorting of up to 30 sheets ensure that the fast multi-talent is always supplied with sufficient paper and the workflow does not break off. The MFC-J6530DW is also intuitive and convenient to use: Its innovative functions can be adjusted in no time at all via the 6.8 cm LCD touch screen - and, thanks to web and mobile connectivity, can be operated with a finger wipe via smartphone or tablet. Separately available High Yield cartridges and automatic duplex printing keep the follow-up costs impressively low.more

A multifunction device (also called All-in-One device, MuFuG or MFP, Multifunction Printer) combines the functions of several devices that would otherwise have to be purchased separately in one housing. The price is usually lower than if all components are purchased separately.

Printing resolution

Up to a point, printers with higher DPI produce clearer and more detailed output. A printer does not necessarily have a single DPI measurement; it is dependent on print mode, which is usually influenced by driver settings. The range of DPI supported by a printer is most dependent on the print head technology it uses. A dot matrix printer, for example, applies ink via tiny rods striking an ink ribbon, and has a relatively low resolution, typically in the range of 60 to 90 DPI. An inkjet printer sprays ink through tiny nozzles, and is typically capable of 300-600 DPI. A laser printer applies toner through a controlled electrostatic charge, and may be in the range of 600 to 1800 DPI.

Printers are measured in pages per minute. These measures are used primarily as a marketing tool, and are not well standardised. Usually pages per minute refers to sparse monochrome office documents, rather than dense pictures which usually print much more slowly. PPM are most of the time referring to A4 paper in Europe and letter paper in the US, resulting in a 5-10% difference.

Copy

A photocopier (also known as a copier or copy machine) is a machine that makes paper copies of documents and other visual images quickly and cheaply. Most current photocopiers use a technology called xerography, a dry process using heat. (Copiers can also use other technologies such as ink jet, but xerography is standard for office copying.)

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and protocols used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices.

USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals, such as keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.

On most copiers, you have a choice of scanning on the flatbed or platen (the "glass") or through a document feeder. The vast majority of fax machines have an ADF, allowing the unattended sending of multi-page faxes. Due to the ubiquity of ADF in fax machines, some fax machine owners use the fax machine as a scanner, faxing multi-page documents to themselves.

Fax properties

i

Fax properties

Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine, which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, the information is then transmitted as electrical signals through the telephone system. The receiving fax machine reconverts the coded image, printing a paper copy.

A touchscreen is a display which can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. The term generally refers to touch or contact to the display of the device by a finger or hand. Touchscreens can also sense other passive objects, such as a stylus. However, if the object sensed is active, as with a light pen, the term touchscreen is generally not applicable. The ability to interact directly with a display typically indicates the presence of a touchscreen.

Display size
i

Display size

The size of a display is typically given as the distance between two opposite screen corners. One problem with this method is that it does not distinguish between the aspect ratios of monitors with identical diagonal sizes, in spite of the fact that a shape of a given diagonal span's area decreases as it becomes less square. For example, a 4:3 21" monitor has an area of ~211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" widescreen has an area of only ~188 square inches.
