Brother DCP-L2530DW (Wi-Fi, Laser/LED, Black and white, Duplex printing)

Description

Fast, quiet and environmentally friendly: the DCP-L2530DW with automatic duplex printing, WLAN, Wi-Fi-Direct and AirPrint is the ideal multifunctional device for home or home office. As an expression of confidence in the quality of our products, we have opted for the 3-year manufacturer's warranty. This offers you, as the user of our devices, more performance and safety and at the same time creates a solid basis for trouble-free use of Brother products. Should a warranty case actually occur within these 3 years after the purchase of a Brother product, our technical service and our nationwide service partners (certainly also in your vicinity) will ensure a quick repair or even an exchange.

The new generation of b/w laser printers for the workplace is characterized by significantly lower noise emission during printing. When the quiet mode is selected, the sound pressure level is even reduced by up to 4 additional decibels, thus enabling even more relaxed working.

With up to 30 ppm, the 3-in-1 b/w multifunction device DCP-L2530DW sets a high speed even for larger print jobs. The true print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi delivers excellent results that won't take long to achieve in less than 8.5 seconds. One click in the printer driver is all it takes to print DIN A4 pages automatically on both sides, or you can automatically create a handy DIN A5 brochure from a multi-page DIN A4 document using the brochure printing function. The Brother DCP-L2530DW is equipped with a generous 250-sheet paper cassette. This eliminates the need for frequent paper replenishment even for larger print jobs. At the same time, the cassette protects your paper from dusting and yellowing due to the direct influence of light.

In addition to the paper cassette, the DCP-L2530DW multifunction printer has a single sheet feeder. You can easily use envelopes, special paper grades or thicker media up to 230 g/m² without removing the standard paper from the paper cassette. Stronger media are printed without deflection via the straight paper path.

Connect the DCP-L2530DW multifunction printer locally via USB or connect it to your network via WLAN. Intelligent solutions such as web-based management are available for configuration and administration via the network. Or you can connect the DCP-L2530DW to your mobile devices over the network, such as the Brother app iPrint&Scan, AirPrint or Google Cloud Print. Comprehensive driver support for Windows, Mac and Linux round off the many connection options. (Latest drivers and firmware updates can be found at http://support.brother.com)

Printing resolution

Up to a point, printers with higher DPI produce clearer and more detailed output. A printer does not necessarily have a single DPI measurement; it is dependent on print mode, which is usually influenced by driver settings. The range of DPI supported by a printer is most dependent on the print head technology it uses. A dot matrix printer, for example, applies ink via tiny rods striking an ink ribbon, and has a relatively low resolution, typically in the range of 60 to 90 DPI. An inkjet printer sprays ink through tiny nozzles, and is typically capable of 300-600 DPI. A laser printer applies toner through a controlled electrostatic charge, and may be in the range of 600 to 1800 DPI.

Printing speed (monochrome)
i

Printing speed (monochrome)

Printers are measured in pages per minute. These measures are used primarily as a marketing tool, and are not well standardised. Usually pages per minute refers to sparse monochrome office documents, rather than dense pictures which usually print much more slowly. PPM are most of the time referring to A4 paper in Europe and letter paper in the US, resulting in a 5-10% difference.

Copy

A photocopier (also known as a copier or copy machine) is a machine that makes paper copies of documents and other visual images quickly and cheaply. Most current photocopiers use a technology called xerography, a dry process using heat. (Copiers can also use other technologies such as ink jet, but xerography is standard for office copying.)

USB
i

USB

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and protocols used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices.

USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals, such as keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.

Processor

i

Processor

A processor is a key component of a computing device, which steers other components via software. The fundamental property of a processor is its programmability. The behaviour of a processor is determined by programmers by means of computer code. The main processor components are the register, arithmetic and logic unit (ALU), control unit and the memory management unit (MMU), which administers memory. Central tasks of a processor include arithmetic operations, reading and writing data in the memory as well as executing programme jumps.

Processor clock frequency
i

Processor clock frequency

In electronics and especially synchronous digital circuits, a clock signal is a particular type of signal that oscillates between a high and a low state and is utilized like a metronome to coordinate actions of circuits. Although the word signal has a number of other meanings, the term is here used for "transmitted energy that can carry information".

A clock signal is produced by a clock generator. Although more complex arrangements are used, the most common clock signal is in the form of a square wave with a 50% duty cycle, usually with a fixed, constant frequency. Circuits using the clock signal for synchronization may become active at either the rising edge, falling edge, or, in the case of double data rate, both in the rising and in the falling edges of the clock cycle.
