Bare Conductive’s Electric Paint is just like any other water-based paint, except that it conducts electricity. This means that you can paint wires or sensors directly onto almost any material around you, including paper, wood, plastic and glass. It can be used like any other water-based paint, which makes it great for applications involving painting, screen printing, stencilling, or even as watercolour.
Electric Paint adheres to a wide variety of substrates and is easily removed with water and soap. It is black in colour and can be over-painted with any material compatible with a water-based paint.
Electric Paint provides a great platform for discovering, playing, repairing and designing with electronics. Electric Paint can be used as both a liquid wire and a conductive adhesive or cold solder. Electric Paint is also available in 50ml jars. It can be applied in many different ways, from a paintbrush and stenciling to common printing processes like screen-printing.
Electric Paint is nontoxic, solvent free and water soluble. Leave to dry for 15 minutes, Electric Paint becomes conductive when completely dry.
For permanent applications, or to create multi-layer circuitry, Electric Paint can be insulated using standard acrylic or water-based paints. Want to make it more intelligent? Try Electric Paint alongside microcontrollers like the Touch Board, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, MaKey MaKey, or LilyPad.…more
