Description

With the native 4K UHD (Ultra-High Definition) monitor ASUS PB287Q the user experiences an unprecedented detail resolution. The ASUS PB287Q has a 16:9 WLED display with the latest generation 4K UHD resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 pixels. With a dot density of 157 PPI (pixel-per-inch), the PB287Q has over 8 million pixels, which is four times the amount of pixels of a conventional full HD display. Thus, it offers an unsurpassed detailed image display, which gives the user more space to display content on the screen at the same size, as well as an image sharpness that is so unbelievable that one simply has to have seen it. In addition, the PB287Q offers an impressively fast response time of 1ms (GTG) and a refresh rate of 60Hz for an extremely smooth gaming experience.

More detailed image display with a 71.12cm (28 ") Ultra HD display with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), a pixel density of 157 PPI and a 10-bit color depth.
Extremely fast 4K experience with a response time of 1ms (GTG) and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Optimum connectivity thanks to HDMI, HDMI/MHL and DisplayPort
Maximum visual comfort thanks to its ergonomic design, which is height-adjustable, swivelling, tilting and swivelling and can be fixed to the wall.

Monitors

A monitor or display (sometimes called a visual display unit) is an electronic visual display for computers. The monitor comprises the display device, circuitry, and an enclosure. The display device in modern monitors is typically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) thin panel, while older monitors use a cathode ray tube about as deep as the screen size.

Display properties

i

Display properties

A display device is an output device for presentation of information for visual, tactile or auditory reception, acquired, stored, or transmitted in various forms. When the input information is supplied as to electrical signal, the display is called electronic display. Electronic displays are available for presentation of visual, tactile and auditory information.

Screen size (inches)
i

Screen size (inches)

The size of a display is typically indicated by the distance (in inches) between two opposite corners. One problem with this method is that no distinction is made between aspect ratios although the area decreases with the same diagonal the less square the display is. For example, a 21" 4:3 aspect ratio display has an area of approximately 211 square inches, while a 16:9 21" monitor has an area of only approximately 188 square inches.

Image resolution
i

Image resolution

Image resolution is a colloquial measure of the image size of a raster graphic. It is indicated by the total number of pixels or by the number of columns (width) and rows (height) of a raster graphic.

Aspect ratio
i

Aspect ratio

The aspect ratio of an image is the ratio of the width of the image to its height, expressed as two numbers separated by a colon. That is, for an x:y aspect ratio, no matter how big or small the image is, if the width is divided into x units of equal length and the height is measured using this same length unit, the height will be measured to be y units. Aspect ratios are mathematically expressed as x:y.

Refresh rate
i

Refresh rate

The refresh rate (most commonly the "vertical refresh rate", "vertical scan rate" for CRTs) is the number of times in a second that a display hardware draws the data. This is distinct from the measure of frame rate in that the refresh rate includes the repeated drawing of identical frames, while frame rate measures how often a video source can feed an entire frame of new data to a display.

For example, most movie projectors advance from one frame to the next one 24 times each second. But each frame is illuminated two or three times before the next frame is projected using a shutter in front of its lamp. As a result, the movie projector runs at 24 frames per second, but has a 48 or 72 Hz refresh rate.

Brightness
i

Brightness

Brightness is an attribute of visual perception in which a source appears to emit a given amount of light. In other words, brightness is the perception elicited by the luminance of a visual target. This is a subjective attribute/property of an object being observed.

Colour depth
i

Colour depth

The color depth determines an essential property of raster and vector graphics: the differentiation of all brightness and color values.
The maximum possible number of (color) gradations is given in bits and thus designates the color depth of an image. These gradations represent a scale on which the actual color information is stored. The color depth is therefore the mathematical basis of the actual color information. In practice, an image never has the amount of colors that the range of this scale (color depth) provides.

A color depth of 1 bit would mean that in one color channel (usually red, green and blue on the computer screen) exactly two states would be possible. As an example, this would be black and red for the color channel red. With a color depth of 2 bits 4 states would be possible, for example black, dark red, medium red and light red. With the usual color depth of 8 bits, 28 = 256 states and thus just as many individual red tones are possible.

i

Pixel pitch

Pixel pitch is a specification for a computer display or other pixel-based device that describes the distance, for example, between dots (sub-pixels) of the same color on the inside of a display screen. In the case of a color display dot pitch is a measure of the size of a triad plus the distance between the triads.

Integrated speakers

A loudspeaker, speaker, or speaker system is an electroacoustical transducer that converts an electrical signal to sound. The term loudspeaker can refer to individual transducers (known as drivers), or to complete systems consisting of a enclosure incorporating one or more drivers and electrical filter components. Loudspeakers (and other electroacoustic transducers) are the most variable elements in a modern audio system and are usually responsible for most audible differences when comparing systems.

Und zum Schluss eine Warnung;
Einmal 4K, immer 4K ;)
