A CPU cache is a cache used by the central processing unit of a computer to reduce the average time to access memory. The cache is a smaller, faster memory which stores copies of the data from the most frequently used main memory locations. As long as most memory accesses are cached memory locations, the average latency of memory accesses will be closer to the cache latency than to the latency of main memory.

Another issue is the fundamental tradeoff between cache latency and hit rate. Larger caches have better hit rates but longer latency. To address this tradeoff, many computers use multiple levels of cache, with small fast caches backed up by larger slower caches.

Edition 03/2017- AMD ist wieder eine Macht auf dem CPU-Markt und dürfte Intel nun wieder dazu zwingen, zumindest die Preise etwas nach unten zu korrigieren. Der Ryzen 7 1800X ist das neue Flaggschiff von AMD und überzeugt vor allem hinsichtlich des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses. Dieses ist auch der größte Vorzug des Produkts, denn von der reinen Rechenpower her ist es zwar konkurrenzfähig, aber je nach Situation nicht unbedingt vor der direkten Intel-Konkurrenz. Gerade bei Spielen liegt man mit AMD weiterhin im Hintertreffen. Das Problem aus Hersteller-Sicht ist dabei, dass ein Großteil der Software einfach noch nicht für die neue Architektur optimiert wurde. Das zu bewerten ist schwierig, allerdings scheint es auch so, dass die CPU etwas verfrüht auf den Markt gebracht wurde. Die weitere Entwicklung wird also spannend. Am meisten kann der 1800X für den Einsatz in professionellen Umfeldern mit einem hohen Workload und vielen Threads empfohlen werden.more

Gut den CPU habe ich nun im warenkorb, aber ich finde keine am4 mainboards und Ryzen Lüfter sind auch keine zu finden. Ab wann kann ich das erwarten?

Im Post von Raphael Knecht ( digitec.ch/de/s1/page/siche... ) steht ganz unten dass die passenden Komponenten wie Mainboards, etc. in den nächsten Tagen folgen. Wir sollten also in den nächsten 10 Tagen sicher noch einige Ryzen kompatible Produkte zu sehen bekommen. Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass AMD eher kurzfristig auf einen Vorverkauf gesetzt hat und die meisten Mainboard und Dritthersteller ein wenig überrascht hat damit.

Ich persönlich warte zuerst einmal den Release der Mainboards ab und einige weitere Tests, damit ich ein gutes System bauen kann. Ob ich dann ein paar Tage länger auf die CPU warte oder nicht stört mich dann auch nicht :)

Sehr Empfehlenswert

Einfach ein Top Prozessor. Die Community mag gespalten sein, aber was AMD hier geliefert hat ist Spitze! Mit dem ersten Wurf kommt ein Prozessor auf den Markt, das gegenüber den Vorgängern praktisch 100% mehr Leistung, und im Leerlauf halb so viel Strom verbraucht.

Der Prozessor bietet sehr gute Leistung für den Preis.

Beim Auswahl muss einfach auf die richtige RAMs geachtet werden, da dies nochmals ziemlich Leistungssteigerung mit sich bringen kann. Es muss mit dem Motherboard zusammen ausgewählt werden.

AMD has Ryzen (drumroll)

Schnell, effizient, günstig. Also, günstig im Vergleich mit der Intel Konkurrenz. ;)
Läuft wunderbar, endlich kann ich mit einem besseren Profil streamen und laste den Prozessor mit dem Game noch nicht mal aus. Ein Traum! AMD ist aus der Versenkung gestiegen.
Werde mal sehen was sich mit OCing so herausholen lässt... sobald die MB Bios etwas stabiler werden. ^^

Jederzeit wieder

Prozessor hält was er verspricht. Brauche den Computer für Videoschnitt, Bildbearbeitung und auch zwischendurch für ein paar Gamingstunden. In Zusammenspiel mit der GeForce GTX 1080 absolut keine FPS Probleme in WQHD Auflösung @60Hz. Macht Spass und je nach Spiel kann im Hintergrund noch File entpackt/gepackt werden ohne Probleme. So macht Multitasking Spass.more
