The Alphacool ice block XPX cooler is the latest development in the field of CPU coolers from Alphacool. The performance of the XPX cooler has been significantly increased compared to its predecessor NexXxoS XP3. This was only possible because Alphacool developed the ice block XPX cooler from scratch. On the one hand, the fin structure was refined to 0.2mm and the number of fins increased to 81. This has resulted in a significantly larger cooling surface through which the water can flow. Alphacool has developed a patented "ramp" to ensure that the water is distributed evenly over the fins. This means that there are no vortices at the inflow to the cooling fins which cause an uneven distribution of the water quantity on the cooling fins. Alphacool also relies on a double distributor which ensures lower resistance. Together with the ramp, the pump pressure no longer plays a relevant role in the performance of the cooler. You can therefore turn down the pump output and operate your system even more quietly without losing cooling capacity.
The bottom surface of the XPX ice block has also been optimized for CPUs with large DIE, because the cooling surface on which the water actually flows has been increased to 34 x 32mm, so even large 10 core CPUs are no longer a problem.
The bracket has also been adapted and simplified. This makes it easy to produce new holders for any type of base and, if necessary, to supply them later. The aluminium frames also come in the same colour as the radiator itself. Alphacool also appeals to fans of individual design, because the aluminium body which covers the entire radiator can be exchanged for other models with different colours. The mounting set can also be adjusted in colour. For the illuminated Alphacool logo, alternative inserts with alternative colours are offered.…more
