With the Eisbaer, Alphacool revolutionizes the AIO cooler market. If classic AIO CPU coolers are disposable products that are neither expandable nor refillable, the Alphacool Eisbaer has a modular design and can be extended, modified or refilled at any time. This means that the Eisbaer is not just an AIO but is completely based on classic water cooling components. This means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution.
The components in detail:
Alphacool uses a solid copper radiator. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series which is very popular worldwide. The pure copper construction increases the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators of classic AIOs. The low fin density ensures an enormous cooling capacity for fans with low speed.
As a result, the power of the ice bars decreases much more slowly when the fans are lowered than with radiators with a high fin density.
The flexible PVC hoses facilitate the installation of the Eisbaer. This makes it easier to lay the hoses and put them in the right position. To prevent this from buckling and to stop the flow of water, both hoses are fitted with anti-kink springs.
The size 11/8mm also comes from the normal water cooling range and is a common size here besides 13/10 and 16/10.
The Eisbaer has been designed to be directly expandable. That's why you can find a quick lock on one of the hoses.
This quick release is compatible with the Alphacool HF quick release, which allows you to easily add a radiator with a graphic card cooler to the circuit.
Furthermore, the Eisbaer is compatible with the upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics cards AIO which will use identical quick connectors.
The Eiswind fans are specially designed for radiators and generate a high static pressure to push cool air between the fins. Both fans can be controlled via PWM over an enormous range from 550 to 1700 rpm.
A PWM Y-adapter is included with the Eisbaer, so both fans can be controlled via a PWM connector on their motherboard or a separate fan controller.
All connections are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread for water cooling. Therefore, all connections can be exchanged here at any time against others if desired.
This also means that you can use thicker tubes or even hardtubes to make your system more individual.
All these features make the Eisbaer cooler something very special. The upgraded appearance with the illuminated logo and the illuminated expansion tank, in which the pump is also located, let the interior of every PC shine in new splendour.
The soft-touch surface of the pump housing is another optical highlight.
With the Eisbaer you get a perfect product which is not only extremely powerful but can also work very quietly.
The basis of the pump is the Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic Ultra Low Noise which is also available separately. The pump runs extremely quietly and can be regulated from 7 to 12V. Control via the mainboard is also possible. Whoever operates the Eisbaer alone will hardly have a performance loss on 7V as various test results can testify.
Thanks to the insulated pump housing, noise generation is further perfected and also ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed.
The cooler's bright and smooth polished copper bottom also ensures optimum heat absorption and can be quickly and efficiently passed on to the water via the fine-grained cross-slotted structure of the cooler.…more
