Acer Predator G6-710 (Intel Core i7-7700K, 32GB, SSD, HDD)

Description

The Acer Predator G6-710 brings you right into virtual life with its seventh-generation Intel i7 quad-core processor, a high-end NVIDIA graphics card, and 32GB of fast DDR4 memory. The PC also convinces on the outside with its aggressive housing in armoured design. Functionality was not sacrificed: Easily accessible ports, an externally accessible quick-change drawer for drives and an extendable headset holder make everyday gaming easier. As a special feature, an overclockable processor was installed. At the touch of a button you enjoy a performance boost while the "IceTunnel" cooling system keeps the CPU at temperature. Like their predecessors, the seventh-generation Intel Core processors (Kaby Lake) are based on the energy-efficient 14nm architecture, which does not overheat under full load, but delivers more performance with the same power consumption. Thanks to Turbo Boost 2.0 and optimized speed shift technology, the processor adjusts its clock rate very quickly to the load and thus always finds the right balance between energy consumption and performance. This open K variant has no multiplier lock, so it can easily be overclocked. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 offers the biggest performance leap of a new generation of graphics cards so far. It leaves previous models far in the shade in terms of gaming performance and energy efficiency. The board is based on a GP104-GPU, which consists of 7.2 billion transistors and is manufactured in a 16 nm process. 8GB of GDDR5X RAM, 2560 shader units and 320GBps memory bandwidth are just a few more reasons why the GTX 1080 is one of the most powerful single GPU graphics cards. GPU Boost 3.0" is a powerful feature that not only gives you higher performance, but also allows you to make finer settings. The turbo ensures that the threshold between actual power consumption and the so-called "power target" is reduced. If the TDP is not reached, the graphics card overclocks automatically. At the same time, the voltage is also increased to guarantee stable operation. In version 3.0 you can define frequency shifts for individual stress points to increase the clock rate up to a certain temperature. Also new is support for overclock scanners to create a custom V/F curve specifically for your GPU. With two separate storage media, you benefit from the advantages of both technologies: The 1 TB hard disk provides you with plenty of storage space for movies, music, images and other file types for which high read and write speeds are not of central importance. At the same time, the 512 GB solid-state drive provides you with a significantly faster storage medium that allows you to benefit from noticeably faster system and program starts. The choice of interfaces is more than generous: A 1000 Mbps LAN port and a WLAN module with 802.11ac standard provide the fast network connection. Eight USB ports, six of them in 3.0 standard, are waiting for peripherals and storage media. The graphics card provides four digital video outputs - perfect for multi-monitor setup. You don't even have to do without a multi-in-1 memory card reader and a DVD burner.more

PC

A personal computer (PC) is any general-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and original sales price make it useful for individuals, and which is intended to be operated directly by an end-user with no intervening computer operator. This contrasted with the batch processing or time-sharing models which allowed larger, more expensive minicomputer and mainframe systems to be used by many people, usually at the same time. Large data processing systems require a full-time staff to operate efficiently.

Gaming

Gaming notebooks are the front-runners in processor and graphics performance, which make the hearts of technology enthusiasts beat faster. They are usually strikingly designed with individually configurable lighting and keyboard layout. In addition to their stylish looks, gaming notebooks stand out for the following main features:

- Sufficient working memory (at least 8GB)
- Fastest processors (e.g. Intel Core i7 with four cores)
- Highend graphics performance (e.g. nVidia GeForce GTX 980M)
- Highest screen quality (above-average resolution/colour saturation/contrasts)

Additional speed is provided by SSD memory (fast program starts) and fast WLAN/Ethernet (shorter network loading times). Because this concentrated computing power generates a lot of heat, gaming notebooks require robust enclosures with efficient cooling systems. They also have a wider range of interfaces for connecting peripherals (mouse, keyboard, screens, etc.). So if you like to go to a LAN with friends and don't want to haul kilo of hardware, a gaming notebook is the best choice. Because where a few years ago only desktop PCs had the computing power needed to play current game titles smoothly, today notebooks can also keep up with the performance requirements of Uncharted, Far Cry and GTA.

English

English is a West Germanic language that arose in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England and spread into what was to become south-east Scotland under the influence of the Anglian medieval kingdom of Northumbria. Following the economic, political, military, scientific, cultural, and colonial influence of Great Britain and the United Kingdom from the 18th century, via the British Empire, and of the United States since the mid-20th century, it has been widely dispersed around the world, become the leading language of international discourse, and has acquired use as lingua franca in many regions. It is widely learned as a second language and used as an official language of the European Union and many Commonwealth countries, as well as in many world organizations. It is the third most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Max. TDP

The thermal design power (TDP), sometimes called thermal design point, refers to the maximum amount of power the cooling system in a computer is required to dissipate. For example, a laptop's CPU cooling system may be designed for a 20 watt TDP, which means that it can dissipate up to 20 watts of heat without exceeding the maximum junction temperature for the computer chip. It can do this using an active cooling method such as a fan or any of the three passive cooling methods, convection, thermal radiation or conduction. Typically, a combination of methods is used. The TDP is typically not the most power the chip could ever draw, such as by a power virus, but rather the maximum power that it would draw when running "real applications". This ensures the computer will be able to handle essentially all applications without exceeding its thermal envelope, or requiring a cooling system for the maximum theoretical power (which would cost more but in favor of extra headroom for processing power).

CPU socket

A CPU socket or CPU slot is a mechanical component that provides mechanical and electrical connections between a microprocessor and a printed circuit board (PCB). This allows the CPU to be replaced without soldering.
Common sockets have retention clips that apply a constant force, which must be overcome when a device is inserted. For chips with a large number of pins, either zero-insertion force (ZIF) sockets or land grid array (LGA) sockets are used instead. These designs apply a compression force once either a handle (for ZIF type) or a surface plate (LGA type) is put into place. This provides superior mechanical retention while avoiding the risk of bending pins when inserting the chip into the socket.
