XTC-3D offers an alternative post-treatment method to achieve a more even and smooth surface of 3D printed objects.
XTC-3D is a coating consisting of a special liquid which fills the fine grooves created by 3D printing and thus creates a smooth surface of the objects.
The liquid epoxy resin is mixed by mixing the two components and applied with a brush. (pot life approx. 10min)
XTC-3D can be applied very sparingly (e.g. 30 grams are enough for approx. 6.5 m2) and spreads evenly over the surface without leaving visible brush strokes.
The drying time is about four hours. After curing, XTC-3D® provides a hard and impact-resistant surface. This can now be sanded, primed and painted over.
Commercially available color pigments or metallic effect powders can also be added to the still liquid epoxy resin.
The XTC-3D® coating can also be used for post-treatment of SLA and SLS prints, as well as PLA, ABS, Laywood and almost all other solid materials.
XTC-3D contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates or phosphates.…more
