Piega loudspeakers now available
The Swiss manufacturer Piega is known for its pressed aluminium housing and hand-prepared ribbon membrane. The company is based in Horgen and was founded by Kurt Scheuch and Leo Greiner. For the last 30 years, they have been building loudspeakers that always received the best reviews in trade journals. We’re pleased to announce that some loudspeakers in the range are now available in the digitec shop.
Piega’s own ribbon technology
Technically speaking, Piega is renowned for its high- and mid-frequency range ribbon technology that is based on an extra thin, partially embossed aluminium foil. Mounting, stretching and sticking the foil is elaborate work that is done by hand and represents a skill very few people possess.
Aluminium for more sound
The seamless housing is pressed from an aluminium block weighing several tonnes. Optimal damping prevents any resonance and ensures natural sound reproduction. Given these speakers are intended to be a feast for the eyes as well as the ears, Piega worked with the designer Stephan Hürlemann to focus on functional design.
TMicro AMT series
The TMicro series delivers an impressive rich tone in spite of its compact design. This was the first series to feature the new AMT 1 ribbon tweeter. In terms of colour options, the series comes in silver, anodised black and lacquered white.
TMicro 40 AMT
Don’t be fooled by the size of this satellite speaker. It still provides surprisingly rich sound, making it ideal for single use in small rooms or on desks. When more bass response is needed, the TMicro 40 AMT can be combined with the TMicro SUB.

The classic series
The classic series features traditional wooden casing and is Piega’s response to the cheaper segment. The models all come in white and black piano varnish as well as high-gloss Makassar wood.
The Classic 3.0 bookshelf speaker is the starter model in the series. Its A4-sized baffle houses the new AMT 1 tweeter and a 180 mm MDS bass/mid-range speaker.

The 18 cm-wide, slimline floor-standing loudspeaker turns into a powerful bass foundation thanks to two 130 mm MDS bass/mid-range speakers. The columns are barely one meter tall but pack enough of a punch to create a delicate hi-fi sound in small and medium-sized rooms.

Classic 5.0 (Floorstanding speaker)
The Classic 7.0 is only fractionally taller than the Classic 5.0, but it comes with two 180 mm bass/mid-range speakers. The enormous pressure of the almost linear double bass system extends to 34 Hz and saves you having to buy an additional subwoofer. This loudspeaker doesn’t even struggle to fill larger rooms with sound.

Classic Large Center
The Classic Center is the last piece of the jigsaw you need if you’re building a high-performance home cinema system using loudspeakers from the classic series. The Classic Center features the same chassis mounting as the Classic 5.0. As it is flat and horizontal in shape, it can fit neatly beneath your TV screen.
