I had to deactivate the new SwiftKey keyboard, as you can't specify which accented character is being first selected when long-pressing a, o and u. With SwiftKey keyboard, the default is now @ for a, so you have to swipe for ä, the same goes for o and u. With the old Xperia keyboard, when long-pressing these letters, the default is ä, ö, u, so you can type much faster when using these accented letters a lot.
