  Passable grabber with impossible software

  I tested the Grabster over a weekend and almost cut my teeth on the Magix software that came with it. If I tried to record in maximum quality, after a minute I was told that the computer was overloaded. The recording was ruined. Picture and sound were sometimes far apart and incomplete. If I chose the second highest quality, no file was created at all. Tried it on three different computers with different performance, under Windows 7 and 10. Countless hours later, after countless searches in various forums, I gave up and switched to OBS. more

  • The software appears clear and is basically very easy to use.
  • digitising is also possible via S-Video, the quality is fine.

  Contra

  • I have not managed to digitise old VHS tapes with the software included.

  Very good

  Possible to install the software without the CD which is provided. Not tested the editing application yet.
