    I have several of these switches in use and am very satisfied. fast and silent!

    Update 2014: All GSD-805s (4 of them) are still in use and have been working perfectly for 3-5 years (I bought them one after the other) without     interruption!

    ...did its job but only 27 m...

    ...did its job but only for 27 months, i.e. defective 3 months after the warranty expired! The successor is now a CISCO and for only a few francs more Lifetime Warranty.
