The product itself is fun and offers many possibilities that you did not expect. Via the Beta Hub Hue Labs you can also test Active Color Motion. (Yes, it's just a ceiling lamp, but you feel like a toddler with a new toy again...).
In the meantime I have various Hue lamps, two dimmer switches and two bridges in use. So far, everything works fine.
The luminosity of Ensis is also not exactly little with 6000Lumen.
So why only three stars?
1. the product was processed uncleanly. The outer casing was poorly joined on both sides, slightly askew, and all the glue along the joining grooves was not removed.
2. the two hanging wires are fixed with an extremely sensitive plastic holder. If you accidentally screw it even a little tight, these dividers break off quickly. I experienced this problem live with a colleague. Accordingly, I had to be careful with my own assembly now.
3. unfortunately not height adjustable without further intervention. That would have been wirlkich a clear bonus point.
If Philips brings out a height-adjustable variant with impeccable workmanship plus high-quality material, I would immediately switch, even exchange at extra cost. So that's not to say I'm completely disappointed in Ensis, but had a few more expectations.

Contrary to some reviews here, the lamp is easy to assemble and also height adjustable. Gives a lot of light and looks good. However, I wish Philips had made the lamp even 5 Fr more expensive and built a decent power supply for it. My lamp beeps, especially when it is set bright.

I am now using the third Hue Ensis (black version, not bought at Galaxus) and have had to exchange all of them so far because they had an annoying coil whine (between 20%-90% luminosity). Older generations apparently can't perceive the whistling, but me and my wife (+/- 35 years old) as well as the children can perceive a clear whistling during a quiet meal.
For this price a no-go & unfortunately not recommended. Too bad, because it would definitely be beautiful/simple.
