For those who don't mind that it's basically nothing more than an OPPO device and can live with a few technical sacrifices, I wholeheartedly recommend the 5T!

Since I am not the patient type, I ordered it directly from OnePlus on 28 November for EUR 558. Now my conclusion after two weeks:

The entire workmanship of the device and the accessories seem very high quality. It is
also surprisingly light and fits well in the hand thanks to its 18:9 format.

The Samsung AMOLED screen is very good (stable viewing angle, no colour shift) and can also convince with FHD+ resolution.
The low screen resolution also benefits the battery life, which is a good 6 hours SOT. The Dash Charge technology used ensures charging times that seem to be from another planet. The device does not get warm at all during charging, but the plug is a little larger than that of Samsung, for example.

The camera is okay, but it can't compete with a Pixel 2. Personally, I miss OIS, but EIS does its job quite well. I personally didn't notice much of the promised low-light strength. With the expected Oreo release at the beginning of 2018, something could happen in the camera area.

The ceramic fingerprint scanner is scratch-resistant, very fast and works reliably, as does the Faceunlock function.

Oxygen OS is a dream, simple (very close to Vanilla), free of bloatware and, above all, smooth. A real relief after almost 2 years of S7 edge with Touchwiz disaster.

The Snapdragon 835 performs reliably and even without the copper heat pipe, the device does not get hotter than average under full load, which is probably due to the aluminium back. A lot helps a lot is the motto regarding the RAM, 8 GB RAM is "nice to have". At a price premium of only 60 euros for twice the amount of internal memory, I'm happy to accept the additional 2 GB of RAM.

The reception quality is very good in all areas such as LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (5.0 with aptX HD).
    And btw: Headphone Jack

An ingenious smartphone for "little" money

I switched from the iPhone 7+ to the OnePlus 5t. (I switch diligently between Android and iOS).
The phone is about the same size, but has a 0.5" bigger display, plus the display is OLED :)
The device is super smooth to
use, Face Unlock is insanely fast and also otherwise the almost stock Android is brilliantly implemented.
Would recommend the phone to everyone, much cheaper than an S8 and mMn. even better!

    purchased this product

Almost perfect - my clear favourite in the current mobile phone market.

Top software and hardware at a competitive price. No bloatware pre-installed and Touch ID button in the right place (see Samsung on how not to do it). Support OnePlus so they continue to outshine the giants of the industry with beautiful devices like this one.
