    Printer problems

We are very dissatisfied with the printer. It has problems with the paper feed. There is a paper jam every third page. We cannot accept that. What is the further procedure in this case? How do you exchange a defective item?

Best printer I have ever bought

This really is the best printer I have ever owned (happy owner for 1 year). Top print results on different media. Almost everything works. No surprises like with other manufacturers (online/accounting/echipted toners/curious firmware/etc. could go on and on). Speed is more than adequate unless you are thinking of opening a print shop. It sits next to the desk and emissions (noise, ozone etc.) are also OK(I).

Of course, some earlier printers may have done this or that a little better. But all in all: Top. I understand the set-up and the small display as a point of criticism. But I don't find it very much of a hindrance. The set-up usually only happens once and I didn't find it particularly complicated. After that, you don't have much to do with it. With the display: The necessary information is shown and everything else happens on the PC. I never had the feeling of being uninformed or having to spend a long time in the menu.

What I have/had the most trouble with (complaining at a high level):
    - The optional paper tray is a bit clattery, but works well most of the time. A matter of getting used to it. Room for improvement.
    - A4 has to be inserted crosswise. That's how ridiculous it is, but because I've only ever had A4 printers it's hard to think about. Perhaps the symbols could be made a little clearer.
    - The printer settings have to be taken seriously. E.g. thickness/weight of the paper. The printer driver wants this to be quite precise. Other printers simply swallow and do something. With the C824 there are then problems with the results (e.g. bad toner fixation). You just have to know.

    - And as an afterthought: there are few buttons but a sensor field for operation. More often than desired, the printer is set offline without wanting to. Proper keys (there are not many) would be appropriate.

    Pro

    • Print results
    • Noise
    • Speed
    • A3 and banner printing: always a feast for the eyes.
    • Does what it has to and no surprises

    Contra

    • Logically: The part is really heavy.
    • Printer dialogue a little old-fashioned and confusing.
