    A good purchase.

Expected a little better range but overall a great product.

Stable device, quick and easy installation (have provider UN+PW ready), numerous setting and customisation options.

One difficulty was to find out before the purchase whether wall mounting is possible: it is possible, there are two keyholes at the bottom of the housing at a distance of 100mm (thanks Netgear for the round measurement). Two Spax screws, and the ADSL router holds well on the wall thanks to its weight of 750g.
The necessary material is included (DSL filter, phone cable, Ethernet cable), except for a CH-to-RJ11 adapter. A few Velcros against the cable tangle, the router is connected to the PC via Ethernet, power on, and after 1-2 minutes the box wants the access data. After entering the username/PW of the own provider (Sunrise), the Nighthawk makes all the settings itself (!) - the layman is amazed. Multiplexing, encapsulation, DHCP server, all that stuff: it's right and it works, and it can be updated at the push of a button. With the old Linksys from 2006, it took me days to get all the settings right. The Nighthawk has not hung up yet, no restarts have been necessary (otherwise I will post an update).
The router settings are password-protected via the browser and are logically structured, where, for example, forgotten WLAN passwords can be found or changed, Internet nanny filters can be installed, etc. The router can also be set up for guests. A guest WLAN can be set up in a very elegant way, the bandwidth can be limited if necessary, and the WLAN access data on the bedside table, which guests appreciate nowadays.
The OOKLA speed test with a Sony Ion (WLAN 802.11n), which is no longer young, shows me: 9.31Mbps down and 0.79Mbps up, but that could also be due to my access. In any case, YouTube videos run smoothly, even in the basement downstairs, where a connection with Netgear Powerline PL/W 1000 is installed.
The many info-LEDs, which already dimly illuminate a dark room, can fortunately be switched off. The user manual can be downloaded as a PDF, is written in a comprehensible way and has 313 pages - and I admit to having only read part of it.
